I remember Lara used to bowl, but have not seen him do it for a long time.
That's my point. It is silly for him to tell someone to be an allrounder when he himself is not one. Bravo is a bowler, let him be. You can always ask him to improve his batting but allrounder is way too much.

Bad move on Lara's part.

Maybe Lara doesn't have the ability to be an all-rounder whereas this guy does! Honestly, you make it sound so easy, as if everyone can be one as long as they're told to. If Lara sees unutilised potential in someone, how is it a bad move to try and get the most out of him?

West Indies line up minus Lara= nothing special... hey, that's just my opinion. And since 1999, the ODI stats are 11-5 in favor of Pakistan. That is what I am getting at.
And Pakistan without Inzamam is spectacular?

That comment is utterly ridiculous. (Cass explains why above).

Lara's "move" was to encourage Bravo to work on his game. Knowing the type of cricketer Bravo is, he most certainly will.

Point taken.

Mr. Mxyzptlk, I didn't say that, don't put words in my mouth. (referring to your Pakistan being spectacular without Inzamam reply)

What words did I put in your mouth?

I never said Pakistan was spectacular nor did I say Inzamam was. The only thing I said is that Pakistan is better then West Indies in recent times.

Anyways, this is getting pointless.

West Indies vs. Australia should be starting pretty soon.

West Indies won the toss.

What was the point of stating that the West Indies is ordinary without Lara then?

Bravo is back... I guess he became an allrounder already LOL.
Lara never said he wasn't an allrounder. In fact, Lara made it clear in his statement that Bravo is a batting allrounder.

Besides, Bravo's playing as a bowler because Gayle can't bowl. I'm certain of that.

Gayle started so well. Why'd he have to get out :(

Good bowling by Gillespie though. A true sign of a champion to come back from the mauling Gayle gave him in his first over.

I'd be getting Watson into the attack (or maybe even some part-timers) before Lara comes in. Maybe other people have better ideas, but I don't want to see our part-timers having to bowl to Lara!!

Poor decision from Taufel too. Rather bizarre, because it really did sound like he hit it at the time, when in reality he missed it by a clear margin and didn't hit the ground or his pad.

there is no way you can blame the umpire...as if he would have been able to tell, the sound was clear as day, i have no idea where it came from but still it was there.

my foot he did!
that was a horrendous decision by the umpire....you could see daylight between bat and ball...the umpire got him...
