This nudging around wont get them the win. They need to start going after the bowling NOW, especially hoggy. Might as well go for glory rather than die a slow agonising death.

west indies were quite silly to go in with that bowling line-up - the side i picked earlier would of been ideal IMO, i can't stand mark nicholas - the guy is an absolute tosser

Yes. The best he has bowled since he destroyed India at the WACA in the last VB series in the only good match he had that season.
Brilliant bowling by Lee. I was at the game.

Don't blame the field for Watson's bowling, he bowled tripe tonight. Showing his true talent ey??

To suggest that Watson in talentless and Hogg is a good bowler is absolutely ridiculous. Don't expect anyone to take you seriously.

Brad Hogg's figures are indicative of how badly the WI play wrist spinners - dont read too much into it.

Watson will become a great all-rounder but bowled absolute crap tonight.

As I said on another thread, Lee is showing signs of being back. Should have had 4 for virtually nothing if Ponting had caught Lara. Top speed of 158.3 - bowl half-straight at that speed and you'll get a lot of wickets.

Superb bowling by Lee. Sustained high speed WITH just enough movement. He seemed really charged.

Hogg is not a great bowler but he is much better than many people believe. I cant recall many better bowlers of left arm leg spin - a very rare breed of course.

Likely due to the lack of quality wrist-spin (or anything spin) faced in regional cricket. Add that to the small amount of regional cricket these players play anyway and you've got joy for the Giles' and Hoggs of the world.

I was at the game today, and was quite disappointed in the West Indies. :( However, some positives were that I got to see two Lara 50s in less than a week :D And on top of that Bravo's catch was simply amazing.

In the end a mauling by Australia. I thought WI could have restricted Australia to 270 at one stage, and considering their bowling line-up is hardly the strongest, I thought that would have been a decent job. I think 270 would have been chaseable, but not only was there too many runs to chase, 4 wickets falling so early gave them no chance.

Still, some great shots from Lara, and as usual top cricket from the Aussies made for an entertaining day of cricket. :)
