i'll say it again, it's very easy to see why this nz side is particularly bad. heaps of the squad are from a northern districts side that came dead last at the nationals. that doesn't mean they don't have good players in their squad, but if they have 6 of the best 15 how come they sucked?

who'd have thought picking your worst players results in the worst team? the winners of the tournament (auckland) have only 4 out of the 15.

the selectors were head coach paul wiseman, graeme aldridge and adam miles. they should never be given any sort of selection role ever again. it reeks of the feedback former new zealand A coach grant bradburn was giving mike hesson "i know the other spinners took all the wickets but ish sodhi who got smashed was the best spinner i promise"

new zealands talent identification has been consistently parochial and generally really really bad since at least the 1990s canterbury mafia. gary stead himself was the beneficiary of test caps for all cantabs.

Is there any relationship of this Sangha with Jason Sangha? I remember Jason Sangha the captain of the under 19 Australian side couple of years ago. A very well spoken and a mature cricketer then. Is he with NSW? Is he going well?

I don't believe they are related, but am not sure

Jason Sangha is still in the NSW setup, played the entire season last summer, made a nice ton early but didn't do much else. Hasn't got a Shield game this season as NSW have preferred Burgey's boi in the middle order, but he's still very much around the squad, has had a strong grade season. He'll come again before too long

That was a good win by our lads, won't say dominated but at least couple of them showed good fight. Jesse Tashkoff another Wellington lad of some substance. He hasn't kicked on for a big one but has been contributing with both bat and the ball. Particularly with the ball he's been mostly bowling to sub continent players as well. Looks quite a tidy action.

That's disappointing, Only one game from the round robin game for NZ U19s is on TV this time around. If our lads don't make the super league and the only way to see them live is if they qualify for the plate finals. I'm hoping they can make the super league play offs.

Rather embarrassing having India vs Japan on TV but not NZ vs SL. That is not correct ICC no matter how much India contributes economically to the world cups.

The under 19 world cup is all about India �� and the home team. Let time around we got some mileage this year South Africa will get some. From memory the world cup had good crowd attendance for our lads games.
