*Official* Tri Series (Ind, NZ, Aus) Thread

Chris Nevin should be thrown on the discard pile, he has absolutely no ability.

NZ were better off selecting Matthew Sinclair. I just don't understand why Sinclair was taken to the WC instead of Nevin, never batted & then was dropped for Nevin to take his place in Sri Lanka & now India.

The NZ team selections in ODI's are still mickey mouse & make no sense.

Vincent is out...just a case of no confidence what so ever & good use of the bowling conditions.

Well its just a carbon copy of last Thursdays match, only this time NZ knew what to expect & probably **** themselves when they lost the toss.

there is a tonne of swing out there...these are the last kind of conditions you'd expect in India i guess.

Great bowling by Williams, hes got three, the Aussis are going very well, except for the 10 wides out of the 21 runs scored. I say, who cares, we've got the wickets!:D :)

We're absolutely stuffed now at 21/4..I just cannot believe this is happening again.

Williams has a fourth! This is shocking by NZ, just terrible. McMillan goes for another duck, bowled and suddenly its 21/4! :wow:

Except this time it will be worse! NZ are scoring slowly too...if they don't get bowled out the max they will get is 175. They will get bowled out before that though...:D

well duh, if you lose 4 quick wickets of course your scoring is going to dry up.

This is karma right now...the pitches in NZ are coming back to haunt them in India.

Cairns is trying to play the heroes knock by playing some very ugly shots indeed..I think NZ are thinking they've got nothing to lose now.

Bracken out of the attack after his he bowled 6 wides in his first 5 overs... :O

Nah, NZ will need to score around 250 to be competitive..once this pitch bakes in the afternoon there is no way in hell NZ could defend anything less than 230.

I seriously doubt Cairns will remain calm in this situation..he's either going to score little or blaze a century.
I won't predict knowing my luck.

The way Cairns has started, he's been like a man on a mission.
But this is the way he started in the WC against Aus and then played a poor shot.

Mr. P

International Vice-Captain
No he's not Fleming is. Fleming is the only one who seems to be reading the pitch at all in fact and the only one not playing stupid shots.

Tim

I also think Cairns is the key...sure he's going to play stupid shots, but thats the way he plays & he can quickly turn a match.

If NZ want 250, then Cairns needs to stay in..if we only get 150 or less then it'll be because Fleming stayed in.

It is vital that Chris Cairns goes on (touchwood) because he lifts the other NZ players. If he can show the team that NZ can still win this match then we could have a good game on our hands.
