I'm interested in how Symonds bats..supposedly he's transformed himself into an international batsman, well he's got a huge chance now to back those claims up.
Well he was great in the WC and in The West Indies and has started well tonight.

Famous last words as the fiery paceman Ajit Agarkar nips one one in and Ricky Ponting goes for 31......

(we'll forget it was going down legside ;) )
Does life get any better than this?

A brilliant century by Martyn, one of the finest technical ODI innings ive seen been played on Indian soil.

Well done Martyn.

And to one of my heroes, well done Ajit, well done!!!.

With superb figures of 4/37 against the best team in the world, Ajit has made the entire AAAS and Cricketweb community proud as punch.

If he stays consistent, he is something special for India with bat and ball.

Now we await Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag's reply...

What was that bet again?

Much power to AA!

A pity that.

It was looking good for a while when SRT and the Flying Scotsman were tazzing along, but now you know why the Indian flag contains a wheel - so they've always got one handy to fall off.

It's amazing how CW seems to have the commentator's curse. Whenever we slag off a player he does well.

* Brad Hogg
* Nathan Bracken
* Anthony McGrath (initially)
* Omari Banks
* Ajit Agarkar :P
There are a few more who I can't remember right now.

At times when we praise a player, he does poorly (except if he's Australian).

* L Balaji
* Ajit Agarkar :P

AB Agarkar c Symonds b Bracken 2 10 0 0
Total (all out, 46.2 overs) 209

Back to normal for Ajit and India.

I'd add Rikki Clarke to that list of people CW's slagged off...he's done pretty well in Bangladesh, certainly well compared with his team-mates. And you can only play what's in front of you (waiting for "but it was only Bangladesh" comment).

In fairness to AA, it was a brilliant catch by Symonds and a smart piece of bowling by Bracken. Bracken has really impressed me - swinging it early and spinning it late.

RE: Rikki. If he had failed in Bangladesh, people would have said "He so crappy he can't even score runs against Bangladesh". Now that he's done well, people will say "That can't be counted, it's only Bangladesh". Either way he doesn't win.
