Well, 258/9 so great effort in the end considering we were 20/4.

McCullum looked very good & is showing glimpses of why he was picked at such a young age.

Well some light relief for Australia as Harvey gets Vettori. But NZ have done brilliantly to get to 246.:)

you were spot on mate! and I rightly refused to believe you considering the way NZ had batted up to the 35th over.
But a game is on fortunately & we'll see what happens in the 2nd innings.

I'm very impressed with the resilience of the NZ lower order. They've given the bowlers something to bowl to, and I'm extremely happy, maybe we'll see MJ Clarke get a go with the bat! Hopefully higher than seven though, he shouldn't be there.

With Bond in the side, everyone from 1 to 11 can bat. I believe McCullum is the next in line for the Test team.

I think Vettori is batting well enough to replace Harris in the side as a #7..I mean if NZ can't find anyone better than Harris, then why not? Vettori scores more runs than him & is a better ODI bowler.

I'd like to see any other international team face 10 overs of the kind of seam movement NZ faced this morning. NZ have come under undue flack for poor batting when im sure MOST other sides would lose at least 2 wickets against a bowling side that uses the conditions well.

Half the people commenting don't even see the match live & I think a few can't even believe that there is seam movement in India for starters.

It is possible for seam movement in the sub-continent. Anyone who saw the tri-series between NZ/S.L & Pak would know that...with that awful pitch that gave the batsmen one hellish time.

Tuffey has ripped through Gilchrist, Hayden & Martyn..Australia are 54/3..hmm.

I am actualy happy that oz are 3 down because I still think we can win and it give M Clark a good opertunity.

Having said that we will probably lose because of my over overconfidence lol

I must say New Zealand made a fantastic comeback helped alot by Australia's 38 extra's.

Don't worry, there is no such thing as over confidence when it comes to Michael John Clarke! It's a big job and he's a great person to take on the challenge. This will break him in to the hells of ODI cricket very well. Lets just hope he doesn't do a Damien Martyn of '94 job on it! :D

What's up with Hayden? He's just not handling it in India it seems... That opening partnership needs to shape up. I like Gilchrist but he's hitting the accelerator much too soon.

Ponting not having a good tour so far is he.

The pitch must really be doing somthing off the seam by the look's of it.

mate there is absolutely zilch happening off the seam compared to the morning session.

Tuffey is getting a bit of movement but the others are just bowling straight.

I persoanly think our opening pair should be Martyn and Gilchrist in ODI's.

Im amazed at the run rate though... with that many wickets down in such a hort amount of time. 4.41

I think Clarke will make the most of the situation.

And thanks for the warm welcome guys:D
