Feel for the bloke, actually. Rushed back when (patently) still not fit after no cricket in months. As good a player as he is he was set up to fail here.I know it is Sehwag bash hour (Which is usually the case when he gets out playing a really rash shot) but tbf to him he clearly isn't fully fit and was rushed back almost as a panic move.
Isn't very likely to happen though unless it's a real bunsen tomorrow, not with 3 seamers who have all bowled well this series. We'll see tomorrow properly.
But won't be too confident of judging fully based on 2 overs before the close of play tbh. Happens ever so often when Spinners bowl the last 2 overs they look more threatening easily than the next day.
Think the spinners will play a part but i am pretty sure that the Indian team would rather face them tomorrow rather than the seamers who have bothered them the whole series.
Just symbolic of Indian team's planning for this tour tbh.Yeah he shouldn't have been out there. The point you made about his fielding says a lot. If a player can't move his shoulder enough to throw the ball, how's he meant to bat well?
It's been mentioned before, but delaying his shoulder op to play IPL showed questionable priorities to my way of thinking.Just symbolic of Indian team's planning for this tour tbh.
First they included him the squad based on a punt that he may be fit some time then when they went 2-0 down rushed him there and without playing any cricket for so long threw him in to open with just 1 innings in a warm match behind him.
Why the hell are they rushing a player no matter how good he is, who can't even throw a ball beyond 7/8 metres is beyond me and shows signs of pressing the panic button. Also he didn't bowl either when fit he is a pretty handy bowler and way better than Raina.
Don't feel for him at all when I recall what Brumby has postedFeel for Viru he should not have been here in the first place.

I'm just imagining a CricketWeb forum with all our grandkids posting on it.Ikki's grandsons won't be so kind to give him the benefit of doubt when they sit down on statsguru 50 years down the line
Will test cricket survive worldwide for that long? doubt it.lol @ Sehwag getting a golden pair..........

india dont seem interested in it (plus lacking young talent for tests)
same with srilanka
bangaldesh have been hopeless
pakistan... well
southafrica's aren't producing too many talented test players
aussies are losing interest in cricket- afl, nrl, rugby are followed more closely than cricket nowadays.
wi, nz... are in a terminal decline
My views exactly. Dont think a good number of our players are seriously bothered too much about tests.same with srilanka
I don't know who's really to blame, tbh. We're not privy to the details of his IPL contract. It's been mentioned before, but delaying his shoulder op to play IPL showed questionable priorities to my way of thinking.
It's not that we're not interested. It's just that we're ****e at it currently. Will test cricket survive worldwide for that long? doubt it.

but will they be interested after the series when they are no longer no.1?It's not that we're not interested. It's just that we're ****e at it currently.
No, true. I'd be surprised if there were any specific stipulations about denying surgery in it tho.I don't know who's really to blame, tbh. We're not privy to the details of his IPL contract.
lol.....apparently your grand kid would be just as obnoxious as youI'm just imagining a CricketWeb forum with all our grandkids posting on it.
Himannv's grandson: Dude, your granddad was such a troll.
smalishah's grandson: Hey, your granddad was such a **** in drafts.
