yeh i think as of the quarter finals we were gonna tip of womens matches to make it more open in the later rounds...archie mac said:I hope so, they were going to tinker with the format (hope so)
You never know with Haas, as he is a real confidence player, Can't see him winning it, though he may cause a few upset a long the way.broncoman said:in this tournament i give Tommy Haas NO CHANCE of winning at all, in fact even though hes seeded he will probably go out first round...
hes got the talent of a top 5 player, if u combine the fact that hes won about 4 matches since the French open and hes playing with 3 injuries i cant see him doing anything. Perhaps he will get a Gary Qualifier first round and beat him, but going by his seeding he is likely to face one of the top seeds in the 3rd round, if he gets that far...archie mac said:You never know with Haas, as he is a real confidence player, Can't see him winning it, though he may cause a few upset a long the way.
Which is all the much stranger considering Hewitt was in good gorm and is probably the better player on Grass and is a formal champion.Pothas said:I think that is because the other us, the french and the australan opens have there seedings based purley on the world rankings while wimbeldon like to tinker with them a bit too suit their needs
Is this some sort of reverse psychology Simon. You've always said that Tommy will win every tournament that he plays, yet he does ****.broncoman said:yeh i think as of the quarter finals we were gonna tip of womens matches to make it more open in the later rounds...

no because previously believed he could win any tournament he entered, im no longer of that opinion, hes let me and his fans down this year, if he has another dud year in 2006 hes wasted his career cause he will be 28 then and he really hould have had 2 or 3 majors in the bag by now...Mister Wright said:Is this some sort of reverse psychology Simon. This new strategy certainly makes sense.
Late 20s is usually the prime of any tennis player. Unless you're some kind of gifted tennis god. *cough* Bjon Borg *cough* Roger Federer.broncoman said:no because previously believed he could win any tournament he entered, im no longer of that opinion, hes let me and his fans down this year, if he has another dud year in 2006 hes wasted his career cause he will be 28 then and he really hould have had 2 or 3 majors in the bag by now...
federer is hot favourite...safin doesnt seem to be fully fit going in...dunno if he can make an impact...nalbandian...at this stage i don't think so....Jono said:Obviously Federer will go in strong favourite, but I'll also be hoping that Safin could win a second major, and will also back Nalbandian to hopefully go far in the tourny.
I was saying it was his best chance of knocking off Federer though.broncoman said:i dont think its disapointing
Hewitt and Nadal can knock Federer off, although i dont see it happening...
