That's a nonsense excuse anyway. Federer played the 2nd semi last year, and has done that in 3 out of the 4 Aussie Opens he's won. I don't even buy that excuse for the USO Super Saturday format, where Federer again has won the title several times despite playing the second semi.

Rafa also played over 5 hours vs. Verdasco as the second semi and then played a 5 setter vs. Fed and won in 09.

If he misses his first then Murray is getting worked hard in any rally. He might still win a set (heh) but this is looking too much for him unless Djokovic hurts himself and it gives Murray a lift.

That was relentless from Novak. I know people hate on the guy but you gotta give it up to him for imposing his will there.

Murray's just gotta grow a pair and go for broke here and hope it pays off.

Safe to say he hasn't quite saved his best for the biggest stage.

If this was Fed or Nadal it would have been 6-2, 6-0, 6-0

I'll say this, every time I watch Novak (and I watch a lot of Novak's matches), when he yells at his box he NEVER plays better. It almost always coincides with poor tennis and more errors from him. Definitely happened vs. Berdych.

No idea why Novak would show such negative emotion when he's 2 sets up, but he did the same vs. Berdych a set up and it almost cost him the set.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen a better retriever in my time watching tennis. Nor someone who moves so well side to side like Novak does.

Nadal when he used to use his Loopy Forehand 100% of the time but yeah Novak's Defense has been top notch
