***Official*** Super Series

Haha, as much as I'm a fan of Chris Gayle, surely they could've found someone better to be the runner. Although I suppose it wouldn't look quite right sending in either Sangakkara or Kallis after their respective dismissals. Disappointing to see Lara fail again (though admittedly I didn't see it, thankfully), but hopefully Dravid and KP can somehow salvage a win here to keep the series alive.

One thing I would have liked to see is Gayle and Pietersen batting together......what a sight that would be!

Can't keep Symonds out of this match: catches, wickets, sixers!

Whatever it takes!!!
Does anyone else feel that it was stupid of the RoW selectors to have used Gayle and Afridi as the super subs instead of using someone like Dravid, who is never gonna bowl. Ideally, they should have used the bowling talents of both AFridi and Gayle (Afridi in the first game and Gayle in this one), plus both are MUCH better fielders than Dravid.

Quite right. In any case, they should've brought Gayle on as soon as Murali finished his ten, as he's far more useful in the outfield than Murali (Gayle's 80m underarm flicks are quite impressive). IIRC he wasn't brought on until the 47th.

The commentators were carrying on about how Gayle is a useful bowler in the last few overs. There is no point subbing him that early if you aren't gonna use him as a bowler!

No, what I meant was that Dravid should have been the super sub in both games and they should have used Afridi as a bowler in the first game and Gayle in the second game.

I wonder why he gets bowled like almost all the time?
He's trying to get in the Guinness Book of Records under "Latest late cut ever", and it's taking more attempts than he thought it would.

Hmm. I think a partnership of Abdul Razzaq and Justin Kemp could win it from here, Pollock and Vettori probably not. Still, Pollock is pretty good at clearing the fence when he gets his eye in, as Kyle Mills will attest.
