According to the umpires, the light go worse in the last 5 minutes, then Smith decided to bring Harmison back (why when Murali was weaving magic, I will never know).....All Smith had to do was change his mind, bring bck Murali and we would still be seeing some play.

So, stupid decision.
oh well then it is stupid....

Smith is the bright spark that decided to bring on Harmison.....if the light was that bad, the World XI being on top now, only 2 wickets to get, Murali on fire.....

Stupid decision.
Freddie and Harmy were bowling brilliantly. But this light thing is a bit of an odd ball.

I suppose Smith could've bowled both the spinners to avert going off .

I thought his captaincy was quite good. He brought on the right bowlers at the right time. It should be alright, onlky 2 more wickets to get.
Batting would be difficult for World IX
Have to agree overall his bowling changes have been good, but may be he should've tried a little bit of that earlier and even in the first innings when things were going a bit flat .

Well, yes. He could have left Murali going. And bring in Vettori at the other end if the light was that bad.

well they have the lights on don't they? so it shouldn't have been a problem at all.

Once they go off its hard to get back on apparently
very disappointing

How's the weather tommorow, if it's sunny it should be ok. Lara will need
to strike some form and Dravid needs to be more effective wall

Is Watson really an allrounder or just the aussie media and fans are building up the hype ?
He's a batting all-rounder, yes. He's primarily a batsman... bats top 4 for his state in both forms (and for Hampshire), and averages close to 50 in first class cricket. With the ball he's usually a first-change bowler for Queensland, so he definately bowls enough to be considered an all-rounder, and his average of 30 isn't too bad. He has spent a season as a specialist batsman though, due to injury.

He's not really up to test standard with the ball yet, though. Looks the part with the bat.

Good bowling but Smith played all-round that ball. M'thinks the light isn't fantastic and he didn't pick it up. I mean, it was a well-pitched yorker but hmmmmm............
