One change to the QLD squad Dane Carlaw comes in for the injuries Price. Webb moves to the starting line in the back row and Thorn goes to the front row. Carlaw starts on the bench. None of the QLD or NSW guys got sighted by the cited, so the only concerns are the fitness of Flannery and Thorn. Personally i would have done for Tronic over Carlaw but i guess that a positive for NSW.

They've gone for Carlaw's speed and agility over Tronc's weight. We have enough big guys, it will be good having Carlaw's speed of the bench, we also have the option of McGuire in the back row. While I'd love Price to be there, I'm glad the selectors haven't made too many drastic changes, let's just hope Thorn & Flannery pass fit.

"We were bitterly disappointed about what has been said," Cummings said. "The situation has become out-of-control. I don't want to say any more."
**** off! Honestly.. what do they expect Moanghan to say after copping that? I ****ing hope he gets a new contract, and Manly get a new ufcking executive chairman. Honestly... what a ****.

They should just keep Monaghan, Orford isn't great anyway. Hardly better than Monaghan!

At the end of the day it seems that we have got Monnas for less money, which i guess was the objective in the first. They went about it the wrong way, but that professional football for you, it seems to be all about money. If this means we can still afford Orford and him then they done their job.

both are halfbacks, there were suggestions Monaghan would shift to hooker, but it wouldnt suit him. Michael Witt is doing a far job as five eighth, so i dont think there is/was much chance of Monaghan and Orford both being there...

Monaghan played a bit of hooker for Canberra before he came to Manly, so i think their is a chance.

not really, he played a few games off the bench, but it was only for 10 or 15 minutes at a time...
hes not a long term hooker...

Dunley and Randall are doing a great job anyway. If Manly need to buy players, they should buy a forward or too and maybe a centre!

Well people were saying a couple years ago that Wing wasn't a long term hooker, now if the Roosters can find a 5/8 then he would be back there long term.

Our centres are fine we have Stevensen and Matai, their good long term options. Randell can always play of the bench. I say we just need another front rower, if we get Orford.

Stephenson is hopeless lol, Matai i havent seen enough to make a fair judgement, but if hes stuck behind Stephenson he cant be much good!

Personally i think he is one of the biggest reasons why we have improved so much, we now have outside backs who can defend. Last season we leaked way too many tries out wide. He probably not the greatest attacking weapon ATM, but adds enough to the side with his defence, cus we have guys that can score tries outside him.

Barrett has just been ruled out of game 2 through injury, Andrew Johns has been selected to replace him.
