I didn't even know Johns was back, but given what he's done, it's no surprise that he's already back in Origin.

Bit of a kick in the nads for Kimmorley (& Gower too I suppose) for NSW to prefer a 31 year old with dodgy knees who's struggling for match fitness, Joey Johns or not.

Yeah, let's just hope it doesn't pay off in the end.

Johns is about as fit as he's ever been. It is a bit tough on Kimmorley but there's no way I'd have selected Gower.

Love the second quote in your signature by the way

There's a difference between being fit and match fit, especially for an Origin clash.

No, he's as fit as he's ever been - fitter than when he was playing origin a few years ago. If you mean by match fit that he might be a bit rusty and not fully ready, then yeah.

That's exactly what I mean, what else would it mean?

Fitness-wise. Take the word literally, he's fit i.e. in good shape.

I didn't realize that by match-fit that you meant that he might be rusty in terms of tackling/kicking or something like that.

That's what I meant. :D

There you go - according to Greg Dowling Braith Anasta isn't fit enough to lace Wally Lewis' boots.

This was in reference to South's planned spending spree ($4m five year deal for Anasta and $2m four year deal for Orford).

Good enough for me.

Ashley Harrison has been called into the Qld squad as 18th man to cover for any late injuries. Brad Thorn is still no certainty to play on Wednesday night.

Yeah just like playing for the Broncos is enough to get selection for the Queensland side
Before Price was out there were more Cowboys then Broncos in the QLD side.
