He's had his problems, but TBH we just have a ridiculous amount of good top order bats in limited overs. I mean for some reason the comms seem to all want stokes to bat at 3 because he can do well there, but so could about 10 others, if we have a weakness it's the middle-order, hey maybe Hales or Vince should just bat there for their counties, might get them in, gotta be better than Billings, and his forever promising career, good 12th man though.Hales is blacklisted because he likes coke yeah? I remember something drug related.
Lean gains
They'd get thumped anyway.Sri Lanka losing 3 players due to them breaching bubble rules probably not what was needed to spice up the ODIs.
A good post ruined by mentioning the idea of James Vince returning to England coloursHe's had his problems, but TBH we just have a ridiculous amount of good top order bats in limited overs. I probably agree about Hales over Roy, but Roy is part of our incredible limited overs sucess.A good post ruined by mentioning the idea of James Vince returning to England colours
Personally, I think I'd rate Hales as a better T20 bat than Roy, but do agree that the current top order is doing well enough to keep him out (if indeed there's the chance of him coming back - I was going to say I reckon the door would be opened in that regard once Morgan retires, but apparently Hales is only 2.5 years younger than Morgan, so depending on when Eoin does call it day Hales' shelf-life might be viewed as too limited). Definitely time to move on from Billings, though, for whatever reason he doesn't seem to attract the scrutiny that other players to get his chances for similarly limited returns have done in the past.
Idiots.Sri Lanka losing 3 players due to them breaching bubble rules probably not what was needed to spice up the ODIs.
a worthwhile entry for the circus threadIdiots.
I think I read here he also was cheating on the missus which was a pain for the players as the girlfriends/wives were close so they were getting earache about it.That was the straw yeah, not helped by his head-kicking exploits in the Stokes incident I'm sure
Hales is better than Roy at t20 yes, Hales should be playing in the ODI side too at 3 probably. We both know that neither is likely to happen again as all bridges seem to be burnt.A good post ruined by mentioning the idea of James Vince returning to England colours

tbf i wouldn't say KP was ruined by cook imo, i'd put the blame at the feet of a lot of others firstPietersen got ruined by Cook and now Hales gets ruined by Morgan. England gives too much power to their captains who apparently look like not capable of handling eccentric players.
Correct. Some captains don't have the balls to deal with players like Pietersen and Hales. Unfortunately for England I do. But they blocked me long ago so too late for that isn't it. Haha.Pietersen got ruined by Cook and now Hales gets ruined by Morgan. England gives too much power to their captains who apparently look like not capable of handling eccentric players.
