I think the issue is that there are balls spinning tons, balls not spinning, and plenty of ball turning slowly but just enough to find the edge or earn an LBW decision.

ABDV had the right idea to play with decisive footwork - get to the pitch of the ball when full, stay back deep when its short. SA haven't been judging the lengths well, and have clearly not picked the straighter balls.
Getting to think of Amla's dismissal, Jadeja's arm ball or straighter ones can't be picked easily because of almost no change in action. This makes it more weird that he decided to leave the ball so early than playing or leaving at the last moment

Lots of them have made their minds up too early though. Amlas leave was inexplicable.
Yea that too.

Another key aspect of Vijay and Pujara's batting on this pitch -apart from good footwork- was soft hands when defending deliveries they didnt get to the pitch off. Reduced the chances of getting caught of the edge of the bat.

Also how fitting is it that when it's the illusion of spin getting wickets for the spinners, its the illusion of pace that gets a wicket for Aaron.

Just saw ABDV's dismissal. How gun is it that Mishra made Amla his bunny ini the ODI series, and now made ABDV his in the Test series.

WAG. Woman beating aside.

Not that the cricket is getting dull, but looking around Mohali looks like a really interesting ground - is it an old one?

I was optimistic about this game and hopeful, but India has played well. Disappointed in Amla and Faf. I think the mind games has got to them and I expected better. See what the inexperienced guys can do.. even just to make India`s win uncomfortable.

Played for a lack of turn, and it spins just enough to beat the bat and take the offstump.

It's seems like no matter what they try, nothing is working.

Jaddu WAG.

Mohali has been the best ground since it was built as far as facilities, stadium and outfield goes. Isn't a surprise you like it.
