That was the first time I'd seen a replay of the stick cricket dismissal of the other night. Didn't look as painful as it was.AB would be happy that he won't have to face Tait today.

Consistent bowling with some movement is what is required, because most of the Aussie quick are bowling around the 145 kmph mark, but without any swing or seam movement, they won't trouble too many top class batsmen with pace alone.Lots of genuinely quick bowlers in Oz at present
We just need a couple to bowl with consistent quality
Maybe they have made up their minds that they are not taking him to South Africa, probably that's why he is not there, Ryan Harris is the leading wicket taker in the Shield this season, but he has had an average OD season, hence his selection in the ODI team doesn't make much sense imo.Seems crazy when you consider that he is reputedly a genuine swing bowler
However, even if he wasnt, I'd play him for a while just so he could gain some experience
If you take the 'r' off the end of the name he certainly isIs Warner leg-spin any better than White'?
Good one!If you take the 'r' off the end of the name he certainly is
I was thinking the samething, a riches of 140+ bowlers, I think we have 2-3 at best in NZ & no one that can get up in the 150sLots of genuinely quick bowlers in Oz at present
You lost the best bowler in Bond!I was thinking the samething, a riches of 140+ bowlers, I think we have 2-3 at best in NZ & no one that can get up in the 150s
Funny you mention Tuffey, because to a large extent he's kind of been the forgotten man of NZ cricket. With all the talk being about Bond & his move to the ICL, Tuffey's hardly got a mention. There was a time when he was bowling really well in both Tests & ODI's, particularly when the Indian's last touredYou lost the best bowler in Bond!
3 months ago I met Tuffey in Delhi and he was like "no chance for us @ international stage now"....I think Tuffey was more than handy in seaming NZL conditions!
Yeah worst call of the summer by a large margin. Lawry has been shockingly biased all summer, so critical of the South Africans at every opportunity, always waiting to jump on them, which isn't a bad thing in itself but he clearly doesn't do it against Australia.Haha piss off Lawry that was a good save from Ntini, not a misfield.
We've been pretty poor at the death for a couple of years now, we're great at keeping wickets, milking the middle overs but when it comes time to accelerate, they just haven't been able to, for whatever reason.I have never seen Australia bat so poorly at the death tbh
Why just single out Lawry, every Aussie commentator has been shockingly bias and piss poor, Slater has been busy with his Clarke and Bingle love with every chance he has had, Chappell and Benaud have been busy with their stories from what transpired during 1950's-1970's, Healy has just been himself and Nicholas has been himself too, and it has been a nightmare coping up with their crap, only Warnie and Gilly were like fresh breath of air amidst all this.Yeah worst call of the summer by a large margin. I've always found Mark Taylor to be pretty fair, generally giving credit to the opposition when its dueWhy just single out Lawry, every Aussie commentator has been shockingly bias and piss poor, Slater has been busy with his Clarke and Bingle love with every chance he has had, Chappell and Benaud have been busy with their stories from what transpired during 1950's-1970's, Healy has just been himself and Nicholas has been himself too, and it has been a nightmare coping up with their crap, only Warnie and Gilly were like fresh breath of air amidst all this.
Haha yeah, apparently by not slogging now they've opened the door for Australia.Yeah worst call of the summer by a large margin. Was wondering about Johnson, I assumed he had an injury. Just being rested is he ?Going to have to win three in a row now, tough ask though I think we can do it if the selectors decide to pick bowlers. Still don't know why Johnson needed such a long rest, a bit absurd really.
