Aside from Murali and Bracken in ODIs, the best bowlers are no more than promising (because they simply havent played enough) and it's no surprise to see Smith's stats improve with the decline/retirement/injury of some of the better bowlers

Surely Vettori deserves a mentioned with those two

A full strength NZ is a very good attack but with injuries and by far their best bowler unavailable, too often they are just ordinary

Thats unbelievably harsh on Vettori who's been a magnificent one-day bowler in the last 2 years (high standards or not), easily the equal of Murali or Bracken in recent times
