Yes, you're right. Broncos fans are much better.
At least we develop our own players and usually blame our own team for losses and not everything else we can find.

If you ever visited the broncos official forum during one of our many losing streaks in recent seasons you'll find Bennett is the person most fans blame.

On the Lockyer subject, he always looks like he's playing with the weight of the world on his shoulders. He didn't have the greatest game last night, but he was far from their worst player, and if he wasn't playing the margin would have been much wider.
Yeah our forwards were the problem.

They were Mason's b!tches.

Another loss is pretty inevitible. But this is our best team to limit the damage!

Hunt
Inglis
Bell
Tate
Slats
Lockyer
Prince

Carroll
Harrison
Myles
Civoniceva
Smith
Price

- Shillington
- Thaiday
- Webb
- Thurston

It pains me to have old warhorses like Price and Carroll in the team, but with the dearth of options Qld has, their inclusion is inevitible. With all the injuries, we're a bit short for outside backs too.

i dont think we need too many changes

1 Hunt
2 Inglis
3 Berrigan
4 Bell
5 Tate
6 Lockyer
7 Thurston
8 Price
9 C Smith
10 Civoniceva
11 Parker
12 Johnson
13 Carroll
Res
14 Myles
15 Thaiday
16 Webb
17 Bowen

thats not neccisarily my prefered team, but thats what i think we'll end up seeing...

Lol at Phil Gould for suggesting Lockyer should not be included for Game 2 - ROFLMAO  (seriously he did say that right? Because if he did then he is a nutter!)

FOG Greg Dowling has been suggesting that Darren Lockyer should give up the captaincy and move to full back and the captaincy should be passed to Thurston. Considering Dowling writes a column for the paper up in Cairns, he would say that. After all if you play for the Cowboys aren't you half to becoming a rugby league Immortal...

For once, I could actually see where Gould was coming from, but it was a bit of a stir up. There is zero chance, if Darren Lockyer makes himself available, that he wouldn't be selected.

N.S.W. have named their side for the 2nd Origin match. Just one forced change with Luke Bailey coming in for Luke O'Donnell. Bailey comes onto the beanch with Andrew Ryan replacing O'Donnell as the starting lock.

Queenslanders everywhere are rejoicing with the news that Matt Bowen has been left out of the 2nd Origin side. Hunt, Carroll & Flannery are the new faces replacing Stagg, Scott & Bowen. Webb moves into the starting side in the 2nd row. Hodges & Carroll named, but will face fitness tests - can't see if there are any shadow players for these 2.

im so happy Bowen is out and Hunt is in, cant see Hodges playing i suspect Berrigan will start in the centres and Bowen will start on the bench if he is ruled out.
A pretty good team all round, i think we'll win this game.

I think you'll find they named Hodges instead of Slater today because they expect Slats to get suspended for one week - in which case he can serve that suspension for Melbourne this weekend, and then come into the team for Hodges when he is inevitably ruled out through injury. Whereas, if they had named Slats in the Origin team today, his suspension would have ruled him out.

Anyway, it's a good side. Would have liked to have seen Shillington there though.

Not sure if i heard correctly i only caught the end of the story on the news, but im sure i heard Inglis is out of Origin with a back injury...

Anyone else hear or know anything??

What was Slater's offence?

Got it on tape/disc but haven't watched the game yet. It sounds like the old 'TBA' Queensland did back in 2002 with Lote Tuqiri.

It probably wouldn't surprise me if Bailey and Kite get swapped around.

Slaters was a Dangerous throw in the 76th minute(I think)..

Confirmed that Inglis is OUT...

Slater is facing 2 weeks with a early guilty plea so that rules him out of origin..

Also apparently Rhys Wesser has been called up to replace Greg Inglis...

This just keeps getting better..

Justin Hodges, somewhat miraculously, looks like he'll be fit to play.

Apparently he rang Meninga this morning and said he's 98% sure of playing.

Of course, this doesn't guarantee that he'll play. But the portents are promising.

Your Schiffers dream has been snuffed out.

It's over - best you let go, and remember the good times.

no i wont, maybe Hunt, Bell, Tate, Berrigan, Lockyer, Wesser will get injured in the build up, then Schif will be there and he'll dominate.

Adam Mogg is the guy id like to see in there, hes been in great form and can switch between centre and wing.
