Some British mates I know who've seen him live reckon he's a touch under Davey in the ring, but when you consider how good the Bulldog was that's nothing to be ashamed of. But Bret has come out and said he was amazing, a bit smaller than his dad(obviously minus the roids) and a bit Michaels like in the ring. Either way, him and Burchill could be star performers in the ring if handled properly. I just hope Burchill's pirate gimmick gets over. He's way too gifted in the ring to be wasted by the WWE. Can't wait to see him go.masterblaster said:That's great news. I remember reading an interview with William Regal, and he thinks Harry is the next big thing when it comes to Professional Wrestling. He's apparently just like his dad in the ring with shades of Bret Hart and a young Chris Benoit, yet they say he also understands the business unlike a lot of young performers today.
He's getting to skip the WWE Developmental Process at OVW, so he must be pretty damn good and Vince and Hunter probably see a fair amount in him. There's talk of him being paired up with Chris Benoit on screen as his young 'student' (like Shelton Benjamin with Kurt Angle when he came in), which would be a nice way for the WWE to introduce him to the fans as a legitimate performer due to the amount of respect everybody has for Chris Benoit.
I would love to see Cena vs RVD with Rob going over at ECW, but I don't know if I can stand having Cena as a lamo face for another couple of months. They should turn him heel ASAP, but they're more worried about how many lunchboxes with Cena's heead on it they can sell to the 8 year olds watching.masterblaster said:Other Interesting News...
John Cena may be headlining against Rob Van Dam at the ECW PPV this summer as part of a plan to turn him full-fledged heel soon after. Originally, the widespread believe in WWE was that Triple H would want to headline the ECW PPV as a heel against ECW's own RVD in a title defense. However, because Hunter may be turned babyface, they don't want to put Hunter in a position to be booed badly by an ECW crowd since it could be too fresh in people's minds when they try to turn him. Instead, the thought is Cena would get booed by nearly 100 percent, if not 100 percent, of the ECW crowd whether he enters as an "official" babyface or heel, and that could be used as a further impetus for his eventual change in attitude to full-fledged heel. A dark horse candidate is Edge, who could win the title at Backlash and headline against RVD at the ECW PPV.
Interesting take on the situation. This is exactly what I would do, building up Triple H as your face only to be taken apart by the ECW crowd is not a good way to go. Cena's popularity is really taking a dive and if the long term WWE plan is to make him heel, let him keep the belt up until July and let him continue to bore the audience.
I can imagine the ECW faithful completely booing John Cena out of the building, especially since their favourite son, RVD is challenging for his first ever WWE Championship. I could also see Edge getting massive boos from the ECW crowd, but most people probably respect him for his wrestling ability. Cena however would get the most hostile reception anybody could ever get with an ECW crowd.
Randy Orton's suspension commenced on the 12th of April and Smackdown was filmed on the 10th of April, and this gave the WWE the chance to write Orton out of any storylines and out of the WWE. So this 'broken ankle' is nothing but a 'worked' (fake) injury in order to give him that suspension time.shaka said:most likely. If he is suspended, why is he still shown on smackdown?
If it is changed to indefinate suspension I'd say he was gone. I think his annoyed people with a lot of influence (Taker, Flair, Triple H).masterblaster said:Randy Orton Gone for Good?
The PWTorch Newsletter reports that Randy Orton’s 60 day suspension, is actually an indefinite suspension. There are reports that he simply may not be brought back.
To keep him away from TNA, they may keep him under contract until his deal is over, while paying him the smallest amount of money possible. Orton would just have to stay at home collecting checks as he wouldn't be able to work anywhere else.
There are some in the company who believe that he would benefit from counseling.
This news headline is probably just a bunch of sensationalism, but more often than not people in real life outside the ring think Orton's an idiot. His behaviour if it is like this really is not acceptable in any organisation in the world, let alone the WWE. It's a shame too, because I think he's a half decent performer with a lot of potential.
But if he doesn't come back, then the WWE have a huge list of stars they can legitmately push for the World Heavyweight Championship and for being the next generation superstar (Ken Kennedy, Carlito, Harry Smith, Bobby Lashley etc.) I doubt he'd be fired completely, but with the WWE you never know.
Orton should learn to "Know his role"oz_fan said:If it is changed to indefinate suspension I'd say he was gone. I think his annoyed people with a lot of influence (Taker, Flair, Triple H).
Well Raw isn't that bad. The God thing is quite bad, but it's interesting that both Triple H and Shawn Michaels are making all these DX gestures and what not. With both of them now playing the face role and getting major DX chants, there's a chance it'll be back. Edge is as entertaining as always and Charlie Haas is back!alternative said:Yep, its kinda boring to hear all this GOD stuff.. Raw is making things quite boring..
On another note: when are we going to see a new general manager for RAW
Meh if they bring DX back they will be over in a matter of months, and its so obvious how they do it.masterblaster said:Well Raw isn't that bad. Regarding the GM position, I don't know why they let Eric Bischoff go. I always thought he was an entertaining personality.
