Well, Wrestlemania 22 is less than a week away. I'll be getting it hopefully, and even though it's not looking like the strongest Wrestlemania in history, I still think most of the matches will deliver and it should be an enjoyable PPV.

A rather poor build up to this 'money match' so far with John Cena clearly being an extremely unpopular and boring WWE Champion. Triple H however has been stepping up his game in the ring and looks pretty good. The fan support Triple H has been getting has been amazing and they're trying really hard to give Triple H back his 'heel heat' by aligning him with Vince McMahon. With Cena's really poor wrestling ability, expect a poor quality match, but an entertaining one nonetheless. My only problem with this is that Edge still should be the WWE Champion. Triple H to win the belt is my prediction.

Should be a great match as all three competitors have excellent wrestling ability. Mysterio and Angle are the fan favourites, and this is clearly the Main Event match of the night, even if it doesn't go last. My prediction is that Rey Mysterio will finally win the big one and dedicate it to Eddie Guerrero, giving Wrestlemania 22 it's Big Time moment. This could be one of the matches of the night.

It'll be interesting to see how they approach this one. I couldn't care less about their feud, and they'll probably go down the 'Bret Hart' route and play his music or something, only to have Bret not show up. Shawn Michaels to win, there's no way he's going to lose to a non wrestler.

Another potential match of the night candidate. I would've preferred Carlito in this match, but all these guys can deliver and are all excellent. My pick is Rob Van Dam winning Money in the Bank and cashing it in at ECW: One Night Stand in June/July against Triple H.

This match will be MATCH OF THE NIGHT! I'm a huge Edge and Christian fan, and to see both guys win the WWE and NWA World Heavyweight Championships in such a short amount of time was awesome. Edge is WWE's true heel and he does an awesome job on the microphone and in the ring every time. I think Edge really needs to be pushed as a top guy in the WWE and even if Mick Foley loses, the crowd will still love him. So my pick here is Edge.

Benoit to win, in a match that will be enjoyable but has no real build up. It's a shame Benoit and JBL both deserve much better than this.

Carlito and Masters to win and then Big Show and Kane will probably feud amongst themselves.

A women's match with some meaning. Both these girls are absolutely awesome in the ring and probably are in the best storyline going around in WWE. Trish to win at WM22, but Mickie probably will win the rematch in the future.

This will be an entertaining filler match, with Boogeyman winning.

Won't win any awards for wrestling, and it will probably be the most useless match of the night. I love Torrie Wilson and I think she's incredibly good looking, but even then this match will still be absolute crap.

Overall, the show's looking okay but I expect the World Title, Edge vs Foley and MITB matches to really deliver.

Trish-Mickie = best storyline? Please!

It's probably the most mishandled feud at the moment. But you know that in order to win over the teen audience, there needs to be OMG LESBIAN~! undertones, and not creepy psychoticity. 8-)

Absolutely spot on with the other picks, but I'm not so sure about the two main-events. I think the order they go on will make the outcomes clear. Wrestlemania always ends on a face-heavy note, or on an interesting conspiracy-note (see Austin-McMahon, WM XVII).

I believe Rey will only win if the match goes on last. If not, Orton's walking away with the gold. It's sad that the WWE's premier performer is reduced to second (third) fiddle in this match, no-one thinks Kurt Angle's going to win this one at all. However sad it is, that's the life of a transitional champion, I'm afraid.

The WWE title match outcome is far more interesting. If this match doesn't go on last, I could see HHH winning it outright. However, if it's main-eventing the show, I expect one of three things to happen. Cena winning clean, thus making this Wrestlemania crappy, or HHH wins with Orton shenanigans, thus reforming Evolution, or a double turn happens during the match, which makes either outcome satisfactory.

Either way, this year's card is weak. Very weak.

yeah thats the truth, its the weakest card iv seen for a long time, gone are teh days when wrestlemania had a sense of awe and magic to it....i remember wrestlemania 16, that and wreslemania 17 are the best PPVs i have ever seen the WWF as it was at the time put on, and i cant see that being topped any time soon.

This is a very weak card.
How ridiculous to have Fit Finlay, Bobby Lashey and Ric Flair in a ladder match.

flair and finlay cant take bumps of any sort, let alone any of the high risk ones that would come about in this kind of match, stupid idea indeed.

For supposedly a 'weak card', Wrestlemania 22 was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! It's probably one of the most 'fun' PPV's i've seen in a long time.

The Good:

1. Money In the Bank was PHENOMENAL to say the least. There were some really cool spots such as Shelton jumping from the top turnbuckle onto the ladder to prevent RVD from getting the brief case. RVD's mega splash onto Finlay and then finally RVD winning the MITB.

2. Edge vs Foley was probably the best hardcore brawl I've seen since Foley wast tearing down the house with Triple H back a few years ago. The flaming table spot was awesome and Edge and Foley were both champions for the barb wire and thumbtack spots.

3. Trish and Mickey was awesome. The crowd was so behind Mickey it wasn't funny. Mickey won the title and the Chicago crowd loved it.

4. Shawn Michaels vs Vince McMahon was another long(ish) but entertaining encounter. Shawn Michaels dug deep and brought out the old DX hand gestures and leapt off the top rope right on Vince (who was on a table), it was awesome to see the DX Shawn Michaels even though if it was just a glimmer.

5. Randy Orton vs Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio was a short but really entertaining match. Some great athletic work by Rey, Angle and Orton was topped off by an emotional celebration as Rey Mysterio won his first World Heavyweight Championship.

5. Triple H vs John Cena, talk about ELECTRIC! The entire crowd was PUMPED for this match and so was I. Triple H is a personal favourite of mine and 99.9% of the crowd was behind Triple H. Triple H played to the crowd and was clearly the anti hero babyface. The match was a pretty basic back and forth encounter, but with chants of CENA SUCKS and F*CK YOU CENA going on extremely loudly, the announcers were forced to acknowledge the hate for John Cena. You guys talk about 'backstage politics', Cena made Hunter TAP to the STF and retained the title. The crowd was shocked, I was shocked, Cena's still the WWE Champion.

Triple H has now been without a title for more than 52 weeks. So much for backstage politics...

The Bad:

Undertaker vs Mark Henry, nothing special Undertaker gets his winning streak upto 14-0, moving on....

Booker T vs Boogeyman, entertaining but nothing special.

Torrie vs Candice Michelle, less said the better, didn't need to be on the card at all.

Overall it was an awesome PPV, and I had a lot of fun watching it. Apart from Cena winning WM22 really was a lot fun.

What a crap card. Only person worth watching is foley, and he is retired.
You were so wrong, the card may have been weak but everybody delivered. Edge, RVD, Shelton, Orton, Benoit, Triple H. It was an awesome PPV to watch live.

So there were no surprise guests or anything?
Surprise Guests?

Well, lets see there was a great comedy skit at the back which had everybody laughing, when Sharmell accuses Booker T of being a 'freak' magnet, and then Eugene, Million Dollar Man, Mae Young, Gene Snitsky, Goldust and a plethora of other 'freaks' show up. It was pretty funny with Gene Snitsky hitting his 'it wasn't my fault line' at the end. I couldn't do it justice. The band, POD did Rey Mysterio's enterance music, but that's about it.
