Nice summary, and your probably right. In the old royal rumbles before the brand split, the royal rumble was really good for suprises. Old, injured or wrestlers coming from another brand were usually in the royal rumble. Are all 15 members from each brand known yet?
Not all the spots are known yet. Although one would think that Charlie Haas is a possibility to make his return to WWE during the Royal Rumble, I'd mark out if he did. The other few spots expect someone weird out of left field (Goldust perhaps?) to make an appearance. But I'm really hoping RVD has a great night and comes really close to winning the thing.

Yeah those random wrestlers who come back are always interesting

Again:

What happen to Ric flair's son after WCW ended
What happend to Ryno?
What happen to Foley - saw him on wwe again a few times then nothing?
Did Chris Jericho go to TNA? If so thats a sad loss to wwe

Thanks if you could answer those questions :) i really havn't watched too much WWF/WWE for quite a few years

Rhyno's in TNA, Foley's in semi-retirement, and Jericho didn't go to TNA, he's off touring with his band Fozzy.

Well I ordered it today mate, after much deliberation. I feel a little upset parting with my $30 and I really hope it lives up to my expectations.
Yeah, I got it too. You should just get mates over and split the cost. It's a great atmosphere too. Just have a couple of drinks and some food during the PPV.

I hope to hell Rey wins, but with Angle now a face, he'd pretty much have to go to Raw and hope Edge retains for him to be properly used.

Heel Rey won't work anywhere near as effective, as he plays the ultimate underdog so well and would light up Mania. They're not taking the strap off Angle that's for sure and he's so over on SD that people would probably still cheer him anyways.

My pick for the Rumble unfortunately is Orton. I hope Taker, Trips, HBK all stay away from it though. They'd be a bit stale in the ME.

Hope the Boogeywoogey wins too, but I can't see the self-proclaimed locker room leader jobbing to him right now :(

In short, my safe-bets for the Rumble are RKO & Trips, with the wild cards being Rey, RVD, Cena( if he doesn't beat Edge)

Let's go through all this....

1. I wouldn't mind seeing (not that i'm gonna buy it) a face Rey vs face Angle match at Wrestlemania. I'd be so good either way.

2. Orton would be my easy choice for the winner if he hadn't been spending the last two weeks in a storyline with Booker, Benoit and Orlando. Doesn't seem right to me.

3. I'm sick of JBL. I don't care if he's friends with Undertaker, he isn't good enough to be a main eventer, and he should be putting people over.

Fit Finlay has been a road-agent with WCW, and now WWe ever since he retired. He has also been credited with the revival of the women's division a couple of years ago, when we had Jazz, Molly Holly and Gail Kim, etc.

Apparently, Christy Hemme was sent to Smackdown to work with Finlay and improve her ring skills, but we all know where that ended up.

I have a feeling Finlay's only been recalled so he can give the rub to some of the young midcarders like Lashley, who are green-as-hell with their ringwork. I wouldn't be surprised if those two were booked together in the near future. Lashley could improve if he battled with Finlay on the house-show circuit.

Team Angle re-union would rule! With them holding the Tag straps, and Shelton holding the IC belt, it would be awesome. They seem to be the only legitimate threat outside Carlito/Masters to Big Show/Kane.

Goldust wouldn't surprise me, considering his Dad is on the booking team.

The Raw Preview has been advertising a "shocking" winner of the Rumble, so you never know, RVD might just end up winning it.

Well, there was talk of him returning as Vince's hired goon to face Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania, but The Rock shot that down, 1) because he is busy with his Hollywood career, 2) he and HBK have some heat, because Michaels didn't exactly try to be buddy-buddy with Dwayne when he was breaking through the ranks in the WWF.

Yeah it was a pretty good PPV, and I'm happy that I ordered it. The Cruiserweight Title Open was pretty quick and action packed. I would've liked it to have gone a little longer, but it was nice to see Greg Helms become Champion.

I couldn't care less about Mickie James and Ashley, and clearly Ashley can't wrestle at all. Poor Mickie had to carry Ashley throughout that entire match. The facial expressions of Triple H and Randy Orton were priceless and their whole backstage skit was entertaining.

Boogeyman vs JBL? I didn't care for that either, but it was still an entertaining 5-10 minutes. Now the crown jewel of the whole show was the Royal Rumble match. I was ectstatic after my top 4 predictions on this thread (Triple H, Orton, Mysterio and RVD) were the ones that were left last. Great to see Mysterio win, and a Mysterio vs Kurt Angle mainevent at Wrestlemania 22 would be just fantastic.

Edge losing was the hardest thing I've seen in a long time. I was genuinely crushed to see him lose. Cena is nothing more than an overrated piece of garbage in today's WWE ring, and the entire match was really, really poor. I hope all the crowds boo the hell out of Cena and I think that things will get very boring on the Raw side of things.

Kurt Angle vs Mark Henry, another poor match considering Henry can't wrestle to save his life. But anything that Kurt Angle touches generally turns to gold. Two vicious chair shots and then an Angle Slam later, Kurt Angle is still your World Champion, and everyone is happy. I'm not really going to elaborate on the whole Undertaker thing, but it was rather crappy to say the least.

Overall a 4/5 PPV for mine. The Rumble was awesome, and it lost one whole point in my view due to John Cena winning the title and because Henry was in the mainevent.

That hired goon was none other than Shane McMahon himself. Nice to see Shane back after a while...

Sadly, Rey's win isn't going to mean anything, because he's likely to lose his title shot to Randy Orton, maybe at NWO.

Bugger off, Cena. Worst decision in a long time.

Mickey going back to stupid HLA? Oh lord no.

Just when it seemed the E had everything on the right track, they screw it all up with what couldn't have been a very bad PPV, but one with horrible booking decisions that's going to hurt them in the long run.
