Anybody thinking of buying these year's Royal Rumble PPV?

I'm considering buying it. The Rumble's the one PPV that is still exciting even after all these years and can be a bit unpredictable. Also I'd love to see Edge retain his WWE Championship too.

Do you guys think it'll be worth buying?

Yeah same here, I haven't bought a PPV in a long time. Generally I just cheat my way out of it and get it off the internet, because they're all such utter crap. But the Royal Rumble always seems awesome to me.

The last PPV i watched was Wrestlemania a few years ago- i think it was with the triple threat TLC dudley boys - Edge and Christian- Matt and Jeff Hardy , What a match! I've seen a few Royal rumbles and they are quite entertaining. I still remember when Kane fought throughout the whole tournament only to be knocked out by Stone cold steve Austin.

Actually the last PPV i might of seen was the wcw invasion survivor series. Where Austin turned heel and helped the WWC team win. Great PPV to

I'm gonna buy it mate, and these are the reason:

- The Rumble match always delivers, even if the winners are pretty obvious at the start.

- We get to see Angle wrestle

- I wanna see if the Boogeyman can cut it in the ring, because his other work is first-rate.

Just invite some mates over and split the cost. It should be a fun arvo in :)

I actually think the Rumble match is uncallable this year.

Mysterio? Orton? HHH (Who seems to be the favorite)? Cena?

Just what I was thinking as well. Although I'm not a fan of the Boogeyman yet, and somehow he seems like another big guy with gimmick, but possesses a limited moveset. But that being said, we haven't really seen him in the ring too much. I remember he was on Tough Enough and got cut for lying about his age (I think he's like 42 years old).

But to see the Rumble and Angle wrestle, it'll make for a good Rumble. We should see another installment of Triple H vs Big Show as well.

So far the card for me is taking place as:

WWE Championship Match:
Edge (champion) vs John Cena

World Heavyweight Championship:
Kurt Angle (champion) vs Mark Henry

WWE Women's Championship:
Trish Stratus (champion) vs Mickie James

Triple H vs Big Show

WWE Royal Rumble 2006

Looks like a solid card so far, if they go down this route. The only weak point is seeing Mark Henry in one of the title bouts, because he has no business being there.

Yeah you are right, this year it's quite different. In the past we've always known who was going to win the Rumble (2002 - Triple H coming back from injury, 2003 - Brock Lesnar, 2004 - Chris Benoit going in at number 1 etc.) But this time, a lot of people can win and a lot of different options can be explored.

Option 1: Rey Mysterio

With Eddie's recent death, I think the fans would love Rey to win the Rumble and face Kurt Angle for the Championship at Wrestlemania and thus winning his first ever Championship belt and dedicating it o Eddie.

Option 2: Randy Orton

After the failed push in 2004, Orton's probably going to get another shot at the top spot. He's one of those guys who you love to hate, but he is improving. As long as he's heel, it's fine with me.

Option 3: Triple H

This is probably the safest option the WWE will pull out. Triple H in a main event, it's been done before, but it leads to some interesting possibilities. Triple H vs Edge for the WWE Championship or Triple H vs Kurt Angle. Two matches we haven't seen in the recent past, and two matches that will mean big money.

Option 4: Rob Van Dam?

Coming back, he's going to get a huge pop, but seriously this one is a bit far fetched. I doubt he'd win the Rumble. But I listed it, because I'd love to see it happen.

Option 5: The Undertaker?

It's been noted that the Undertaker has said that he'd love to face Kurt Angle for the World Heavyweight Championship one last time before he retires and have one last good run with the title. He deserves it for mine, after being such a great performer for so long.

There's probably more options, but expect WWE to play it safe and give the Rumble to either Orton, Triple H or Mysterio. Either way, I think all three guys winning can make for some entertaining television.

Anyone hear the stories about why the Undertaker hasn't been around for so long? Apparantly, Bob Orton has, and has had hepatitis or something for quite a while, but never told the Undertaker during his last match. Blood was everywhere and Undertaker is supposedly very angry at WWE Management

dont hold ur breath, i would sue the hell out of the WWE they deserve it if you ask me, but one gets the feeling taker is too loyal to the company to sue them, worst case scenario is taker quits if you ask me, unless hes contracted some illness, in which case he probs will sue.

The question isnt whether he told Taker, it's probably whether or not WWE knew. If they did know and sanctioned this match, then they're liable, but if Cowboy didn't tell anyone then he would be the one who could be sued.

I hope it's not true, it's absolutely sick to think someone could knowingly endager someone like that. Whered you hear this rumour?

I can't remember the guys name, but some insider dude, who has broke quite a few major stories in the past. I personally don't believe it. His own son was in the match, and there's no way any father would be involved in a match like that, in which his son could be at such a huge risk
