Amla ,Kallis and Dravid(though he has to go back and forth and plays on the front foot too) the only real ones who can play on the backfoot on such a pitch with balls keeping low and turning.

You need real quick hands, excellent judgement of length plus early reading of the spin on the ball to do so.
Samaraweera and Laxman are also very good at this.

Laxman can play of the backfoot too ,but he plays more of the front foot with his wrist coming into play late to turn it to the leg side.

He also uses his feet and long reach very well to get to the pitch of the ball and play either the cover drive or the flick he plays towards mid wicket.

It'd be a shame if the WICB receives criticism for this pitch because they'll just continue to churn out batting paradises. I'd rather put a fork in my eye than see Sammy score a century on the flat wickets that have characterised the caribbean lately.
Sammy won't score more than twenty even on a flat pitch. :p

Shafiq bowled by Rampaul! Some sharp inward seam movement and perhaps a touch of low bounce as well. It's all up for grabs.

Lovely. The Pakistani pace bowlers can learn quite a lot about how to bowl on a wicket like this by watching Rampaul. Cutters on a decent length are mighty effective.

Where is everyone else? I'm speaking to myself here. :p
I don't have wifi atm and I'm watching it on TV. I'm too lazy to attach the internet cable to an extension cord and get the laptop to the living room. :p

Do you guys reckon it's the pitch making Rampaul look this good or did he turn into a good bowler over night? He's bowling with a lot of gas and consistently hitting the right areas.
It looks like he's worked hard on his fitness....

He was bowling in the high 80s, and with a highest of 91mph. He's been able to maintain that speed much longer than he used to.
