Misbah is constructing a wonderful innings here. The way he's smothering the spin by getting right forward and playing late to the sharply turning ones is great to see. Last two lofted strokes against Bishoo were pretty good too.

As I said yesterday, this pitch is difficult, not unplayable. Quality players like Shiv Chanderpaul and Misbah have shown this!

Would a hypothetical line-up comprising of Hutton, Hobbs, Sutcliffe, May, Barrington and Dexter succumb so poorly on this track? I don't think so!

Quality players like misbah

I think he's a fine player. Especially against spin and in conditions where application and grit is required. IMHO, he's the third best batsman in the nation after Y and Y.
