Is there anyone better at nipping the ball back in than Asif in world cricket? He does it so frequently, he must have a ridiculously high percentage of bowleds in his short test career so far
All you statisticians, anyone know what the rate is.. its would be quite interesting to know this.. and he has taken few LBW decision successfully too..

Complete turn around of fortune.. all the credit has to go to Asif, he got them very much back in the game.. can Murali do it once again for SriLanka will be the question in great minds...

Stuff Razzaq, not to be forgotten.
He took gifts, Sri Lanka batters knew Asif had their number so they tried to take Razzaq on. Much like with the Pakistan innings, Murali was the threat so they padded up to him and gifted the Sri Lanka seamers wickets with hideous and completely forced shots.

Injury ends Jayasuriya's Test career

April 4, 2006

Sanath Jayasuriya's Test career been ended on a painful note after dislocating his right thumb during the second Test against Pakistan at Kandy. He also needed several stitches after splitting the webbing when he attempted to catch Imran Farhat in the gully during the morning session of the second day.

"It looks like he will be out for at least four weeks," Tommy Simsek, the Sri Lankan team's physiotherapist, told reporters after returning from the Kandy Central Hospital. "There's also a dislocation near the joint. It is very unlikely he will take any further part in the Test."

Talk about a complete turn-around.

When I left the house, around 1.5 hours ago, Sri Lanka were 25 for 1 and seemed well poised for a substantial second innings lead. I came back to find them tottering at 70 odd for eight with Jayasuria out for good. This is the stuff that makes cricket such a delightful and exhilirating sport; just when you think you have got the number, it manages to surprise you in a manner that leaves you hanging at the edge of your seat, jaws wide open.

Hats off to Asif for one of the most brilliant performances by a Pakistan bowler in recent history. Shoaib and Asif opening together should be a sight to behold.

That was reported before Sri Lanka's second innings, with the current state of the game he might well bat again (possibly one handed, like Bandara who was also batting one handed for couple of deliveries).
