Yeah, he definitely is.
we're more nerdy loathsome scum though. if we were boofheads we'd be watching this at the pub thinking warne was smartDo most CWers *not* consider themselves to be insufferable loathsome scum?
I watch huge amounts of cricket at the pub tbhwe're more nerdy loathsome scum though. if we were boofheads we'd be watching this at the pub thinking warne was smart
Pretty sure it was a no-ball but I know what you mean...sometimes I reckon they gloss over the initial contact and focus on the foot planted well over the lineWas Shaheen unlucky on that no ball call earlier, first grounding slightly behind the line? Have guests and not able to give the fine details of where someone's foot landed the attention it deserves, and they only showed one replay.

Why do you think the sense of success, accomplishment in camraderie that elite sportsmen feel when playing elite level sport and representing their country is tied to the money they earn?kinda sad
- "that feeling of accomplishment and success that you don't get outside of the game" - Rigor
- "that feeling of camaraderie after 5 days of cricket, you don't get that anywhere else" - Baz
Sorry guys but I reckon many, if not most of us get plenty of sense of success and accomplishment and camaraderie outside of hitting a red ball around a field. The reason you don't might have something to do with the fact that you're not actually doing anything meaningful after your sporting career. You made decent money, both of you. Plenty of opportunity to retrain in a field that would bring loads of accomplishment and camaraderie.
Please indulge us. I dare you.You want me to name every ****wit on CW or twitter? Jesus m8 I don’t have all day, and I like most of youse anyway.
Thought he was just saying that they are currently in a good enough financial position to take the necessary time out and train in something else? Just a practical consideration, nothing to do with it being tied to the sense of achievement. Why do you think the sense of success, accomplishment in camraderie that elite sportsmen feel when playing elite level sport and representing their country is tied to the money they earn?
Yeah but they probably won't get as much emotional satisfaction and a sense of "accomplishment", in their words, out of making a bunch of money running some random business than they were playing Test cricket for their country. That seems to be pretty obviously what both are getting at there, so it seems churlish to critique them for just saying they could make tons of money doing something else.Thought he was just saying that they are currently in a good enough financial position to take the necessary time out and train in something else? I agree tbh, but Hendrix wasn’t talking about making big money either way? Was just saying they could enjoy success and camaraderie in another arena of life, with business being a generic way of saying ‘some other job’.Yeah but they probably won't get as much emotional satisfaction and a sense of "accomplishment", in their words, out of making a bunch of money running some random business than they were playing Test cricket for their country. I hate work too, but even if I loved it, I can't imagine anything beating scoring a test match hundred!I agree tbh, but Hendrix wasn’t talking about making big money either way? I mean personally I just hate working in general, but like, I know that plenty of people apparently get great satisfaction from their non-sporting life successes.
...I don't? You must've misread me. I didn't say anything like that? Why do you think the sense of success, accomplishment in camraderie that elite sportsmen feel when playing elite level sport and representing their country is tied to the money they earn?
