Just catching up on this thread - someone pointed out earlier that KJ is a bowling all rounder, whereas CdG is a batting all rounder.

Depends on country but in NZ probably has to look something like this:

1. Latham
2. Blundell
3. KW (c)
4. Taylor
5. Nicholls
6. Watling (wk)
7. CdG
8. Jamieson
9. Southee
10. Wagner
11. Boult

Can't see Mitchell hanging around tbh, haven't been overly impressed with his bowling. Has done well with the bat though no question.

Plus if we get to the Lords final, I'd say Ajaz comes in for one of Jamieson/Southee/Wagner/Boult. Tough choice though but I assume Jamieson? Even though I imagine he'd be a handful in England.

agreed, but historically we've had a spinner every time in England. and unless KW is going to bowl or Blundell gets some bowling happening I can't see it happening... haha.

Can definitely see CDG doing some damage at Lords, in both disciplines. Already had a great World Cup final there.

Yeah CDG would be fantastic instead of forcing some spinner in just for the formality of it. CDG easily our best test allrounder atm.

Agreed - KJ has had a fantastic start to his career but there's no way he can bat at 7 just yet.

On current form, yes. Mitchell has looked more dangerous than Boult today.

It's pretty simple, if a spinner needs to come in, then the bowler with the worst form sits out.
