Well done Pakistan - some good fielding again while I was watching. I again have to compliment whoever the fielding coach is there has been a 360 degree turn around.

Except for that Kamran drop - it makes you suspicious when he drops anything.

Anyways - good show - why Jamie How is being selected in a mystery to me. He must have mafia connections and be threatening Justin Vaughn's life or something.

Mazhar Majeed getting caught was the turnaround tbh.

Afridi praising Misbah.

You feel like he's making sure that people know that he has no issues with the guy.Kudos to our Pathan brother .Whatever small or big doubts that existed over who will captain the team in the WC are now over.Afridi it will be.

Pakistan is a good team. Not sure why people write them off for the world cup. They have got good bunch of bowlers. Their batting may not be the strongest but still can do a fair bit to upset any of the so called strong teams. I am predicting semis minimum for this team for the WC.

Congrats again to Pakistan, it seems like they've really turned things around on this tour and going from strength to strength. Good on them.

Confidence in the NZ camp must be at an all-time low. This NZ side is better than what they've showed though I believe.

Come World Cup time, we're going to have to really watch out for that Zimbabwe game. With Ray Price and Prosper Utseya, they've got too very good spinners there that will trouble us.

People don't write Pakistan off.Their own supporters write them off. That's the saddest part.

That's been the case around our greatest victories, and that is the case right now too.

How is terrible and cost us the match.

All NZ needed to do was gain confidence for their 1st XI and they effed it with their stupid rotation policy.

Ah well, at least I can say in the future that I supported NZ in their darkest season.

This is getting seriously close to taking the piss. That a side with that much batting depth, could contrive to lose a match after needing 6 an over, off 25 overs with 8 wickets and a power play in hand is just... it's... I don't know how to describe it.

This is the worst New Zealand team to take the field in a very, very long time.

Some credit ought to be given to the Pakistan bowlers today, I feel.

Wahab Riaz to Franklin, OUT, The last time I saw a left-arm green shirt bowl those thunder yorkers was when Wasim Akram was still playing. Riaz has produced a missile here and Franklin's done well to protect his toes. No such luck for the furniture. 143 kph, from the moment Riaz released it, this was headed only one place - base of middle and off. Riaz knew it. Franklin knew it. He moved the feet to the leg side and played all over it, mostly in hope. Stumps are crashed. Riaz roars. Spectacular.
Fun fact on Wahab:

His strike rate of 27.1 is better than any Pakistani ODI bowler ever, at least 3 bpw better than Waqar, Saqlain or Wasim. His economy rate of 5.39 is the second worst of any Pakistani ODI bowler, behind only Naved-Ul-Hasan.

(20+ wickets)

Because you read something on cricinfo?
No, because I was watching most of the second innings, felt Pakistan bowled reasonably well and weren't being acknowledged for the win. I brought up the quote to show someone other than myself agreed, and as a good example of what I was talking about.

ugh, we really aren't very good are we. Not looking forward to the WC

NZ officially a minnow in my book now.

Pathetic really. Pakistan haven't really needed to do anything great, just wait for the NZ batsman to get themselves out.

Kamran drops one its usually a bad omen when this happens.
Whenever he drops a catch it reminds me of Mazhar Majeed

I know its just NZL but for the first time I am feeling a little excited of our WC chances.
me too........and I am one of the most pessismistic of supporters

Don't get too carried away over some minnow-bashing. :p

some good quotes there from NZ fans.....wonder what Theirry_Henry (the CW poster) has to say to this

My only consolation is that I accidentally placed my Jamie How 30 or under bet twice on bet365. So thanks to my poor typing skills and Jamie's poor cricketing skills, I'm $50 richer.

I raise a toast to incompetence!

Lol...you have to be pretty loyal to be a long term NZ fan tbh. We have so many set backs but to lose 13 from 14 or is it 14 from 15 now is bordering on ridiculous. That has to be some sort of record for a test playing nation if you exclude Zimbabwe/Bangladesh.

Just sad to see NZ slumping to another series defeat, from their prespective the most disappointing thing probably would be that despite having some decent talent in the ranks they have just failed to deliver as a unit.

There has been a clear inability on the part of their players to read into the situation of the game and adapt accordingly, the biggest strength of the New Zealand team over the years has been their ability to click as a team, but atm the roles of certain individuals doesn't seem to be clear or maybe some of them are just not upto the roles they have been given.

I don't see why people would complain that New Zealand are rotating.Atleast it shows that they are TRYING.Given, nothing seems to be working, but they are trying differnet combinations to come up with a winning one. It's better than using the same combination time and again and get drummed.

NZL should be winning atleast 40-50% of their games with this line up there is some serious management fault at some stage.
