Who is it this time? McMillan goes on and on about it with his flawed logic.Dear ICC - please remove the batting power play from ODI cricket. I am sick and tired of hearing commentators blab on about the right time to take it.
Interesting point, initially it was believed that NZ would take the PP at the 34th over after McCullum was set. So either they changed that plan due to him being dismissed or as you say it was a "genius" tactic.Ridiculous!
They want McCullum to bat in the Batting Power Play as a finisher, so they move him down the order.
Finally, NZ look like they set the perfect platform for this to happen and what do they do?
Promote him up the order.
Pure genius!
Franklin got a thunderbolt, but they were winning before that.NZ officially a minnow in my book now.
Pathetic really. Pakistan haven't really needed to do anything great, just wait for the NZ batsman to get themselves out.
That's the most ridiculous part of the whole "plan", tbh.Interesting point, initially it was believed that NZ would take the PP at the 34th over after McCullum was set. So either they changed that plan due to him being dismissed or as you say it was a "genius" tactic.
So basically your average NZ performance then?Guptill-got himself out, justice was served from earlier
Ryder-got sold a howler by Guptill
How-got himself out
McCullum-worst. shot. ever.
Taylor-unlucky
Styris-didn't see
Franklin-got a beauty
Oram-got himself out, but at that stage we needed to throw caution to the wind
haha...NZL @ home are usually a formidable opponent don't think they are playing their best cricket but still given where we were after the spot fixing gate this is a massive improvement.Don't get too carried away over some minnow-bashing.
