*Official* - Pakistan in New Zealand 2010/2011

I'm opposed to Milne's selection for reasons other than his high economy rate and lack of wickets.

And as previously mentioned, Woodcock's bowling has been awesome, so GAGFC.

Anyone reckon Williamson will bat at three and Franklin at six in the tests?

But he's a fighter who tries hard, so he'll be right as a keeper because we're jack of all trades. Even ask the experts at cricinfo.

Not bad choices tbh. So glad Arnel has been retained in the Test squad. Thought he'd probably get dropped after India but IMO he'll be a solid bowler for us for a few years to come.

So glad for Woodcock he's been playing well with bat and ball in all formats for the past 3 or 4 seasons

Dean Brownlie stinks of "he's an Aussie so he must be good" theory, hes played 9 FC games, 3 OD and 14 T20 FFS albeit at an average of 50, 56 and 22 respectively

Jeez, you must be getting close to bottom of the barrel stuff when you select Luke Woodcock for a national team. He's a decent player but he shouldn't be anywhere near the New Zealand team. Would of gone for Nick Beard myself whose carrer economy is .6 lower then Woodcock's.

Haha, well I wouldn't rule it out. It seems we'll do anything to try and fit as many average cricketers into a team. Franklin shouldn't be anywhere near the test team, he's a proven failure with the bat and he can't bowl anymore.

My thoughts exactly. Maybe they saw something in that epic swing-and-miss-fest against Auckland that we didn't.
Let's hold a three ball innings in the dark against him, eh? Can't think of any international matches other than England/Pakistan test of (circa) 10 years ago or the last World Cup final to be played in such terrible light.

I doubt he'll succeed, but at least he's in good form so if he doesn't succeed now, then he doesn't have it. Unlike our usual policy of picking people when they were in good form six months ago.

Yeah, fair enough. I probably should be more forgiving of that innings, given the circumstances. But it was still really quite awful, and you yourself offered this opinion of it:
Face... meet Palm.
But I do hope he goes well for us.
