The spinners have gotten the team into the position, and are doing a good job running through the tail. Why make the seamers bowl more overs than they have to when there's no guarantee they'll finish off the tail any quicker than Hauritz/Katich.

Because his shoulder is ****ed and needs physio/cortisone injections before he can bowl. Clapo - yeah it looks like I was talkiing ****. This just baffles me, 4/213, and now 9/252 :mellow::blink:

Sounds right - had to be some reason why he was ignored when Steyn, Harby, Khan, Swann etc were smacking around the regular bowlers :)

Another 45 runs needed for pak to avoid the follow on.There will be some
relief for them if they get there as Aus will have to bat again and also that there are chances of rain during the next 2 days.

They won't get past the follow-on mark, but they might get to the point that Ponting won't make them follow-on...

Would bat again from this position. Awesome work from Katman/Hauritz though, just a shame they couldn't get the final wicket before these two started hitting out.

I can't understand this..

what the hell kind of captain is yousuf.. all he is doing is blame others and slams his teamates..
Butt is the only pakistani batsman who has been making runs.. instead of encouraging him.. he slams the guy.. i understand he made a mistake.. it happens with every batsman.. but to slam an inform batsman and insult them infront of media.. not to forget his teamate.. soo unprofisional..

look at butt's score in this series.. 45, 33, 71, 22, 102.. all double figures and has given pakistan a good start in every innings so far.. for the first time in a series pakistani openers seemed settled.. and give them a good start regardless of the series's result..

If what I'm hearing is true, I'd make them follow-on if they got out, due to the possibility of rain.

what about the scores of the 2 batsmen he got run out??? How were they performing this series? Butt got to his 102 at the expense of 2 batsmen, it was a "must" for him to score a ton...

Yousuf is right about Butt, that he is a selfish and a lazy player.

Pakistan has better and more potentially capable younger players who can replace Butt/Farhat/Faisal/Malik/Misbah.....

Ever since the WC2003 debacle for pak,it has been struggling to become a top notch side.
There have been few instances after WC2003 where pak had performed well but as I said there have been just a few.

Pak is unable to unearth top talent cricketers nor are the existing mediocre players developing into match winning players.On top of that there is a captain i.e moyo behaving unprofessionally off the field as well as on the field.

Umar has threatened to get a good score but has yet to deliver, however given his style of batting and the fact he's only 19, that's fair enough.

Yousuf has no such excuse.
