Rotation - Kasprobitch - Dizzy - McGarth - Bing

The Australian commentators are hypocrites! They gave that Kamal from Pakistan a roasting when he missed a tough chance of Langer in the first test, but hardly a word when Gilchrist droppes a sitter and misses an easy stumping. I know they have to please the Australian audience, but every one is fair game.

Great ton by the 19 year old salman butt against the best side in the world.But as usual pakistan throw away a good start.

1st test - australia 78/5 ---> Aus 381

2nd test - pakistan 286/3 ---> pakistan 341 (last 7 wkts = 55 runs)

3rd test - pakistan 193/1 ---> pakistan 292-9

I never said I liked the idea of non-keepers keeping...but if there's a batsman who can wicket-keep too(eg Dravid), then there's nothing wrong with playing him as a wicket-keeper.
Except he is not a keeper!

Neither is Langer, neither is Khan, neither is Trescothick.

They are all batsmen.

And playing either Lee or Kasprovicz did not require them to drop any spinner.
It required them to leave out one of the 2 spinners they wanted to play to suit the wicket - and I doubt either of them would've been more suited than a spinner.

Why because he's picked up 5 wickets now, that counteracts all the poor figures he's been collecting in prior games?

I would point out that he still did go at all but 4 an over.
good to see youve conviniently forgot all the good figures he's had....who cares about 4 an over.. warne went for about the same, for only 1 wicket... the argument was that macgill has done well in his limited opportunities, the commentators have even said that.. so i think i'll agree with the professionals thankyou... he seldom has a game where he doesnt pick up multiple wickets, one of the best strikers in world cricket... im just glad he has gotten a chance to silence his critics (well, some)...

4 per over doesn't matter much and he would have been hit for more runs had he not taken those 5 wickets.... And I'm sure those 5 players would have made more than 87 runs

Pakistan have a captaincy crises, they need a captain that can lead them by example and is imaginative. Inzamam is a joke as a captain and youhanna is not good either.If the captain himself can't bat for his team then how can he expect his junior fellow to respond positively??

To be fair, kamal haven't done badly in the series behind the stupms, but his batting is such that i don't see how he can establish his place in the team, especially when moin and Lateef are still available.

I didn't say that the Pakistan keeper shouldn't be there, nor is he a bad keeper. I was just pointing out the fact that he got roasted by the commentators for not moving quickly enough for difficult leg-side catch, but when Gilly misses a regulation catch and stumping, nothing is said.

Kaman akmal is near his fifty!! if he does get some runs then he might replace his place in the comming onedayes which might prove to be disastrous for Pakistan as i think Moin and Rashid are much better than Akmal.

When Waqar Younis was commentating with ESPN Star, he had a completely different accent!

Why the hell is he putting on an accent of channell nine? Very silly.

EDIT - And he just pronounced Tendulkar as Tyendyulkaar. Wow.

Great shot Hayden! Completely unnecessary, wasted another good start. That's about why he averaged in the low forties last year; because he squandered good starts with pathetic shots.
