I'm slightly irrationally annoyed at all those cheap wickets Starc picked up in the last game because it's really taken attention away from the fact that this is the third innings in a row now he's mostly bowled complete pus.

Vaughan and Waugh with the Warner cap memes

Candice will not be able to resist making a statement about it imo.
I am dreading those two being even more full time media personalities than they already are.

The waist high short ball has been quite productive for Cummins this innings. Granted, he seems to be the only one who's accurate enough and with a tricky enough delivery to actually pull off these plans.

Not sure they'll reach 250 now.

Neither Starc nor Hazlewood actually have good bouncers beyond the surprise factor (Hazlewood's is okay but it becomes very easy to line up if he overdoes it, which this tactic guarantees). It says something that they tapped Green to start doing this when they turned to it during the Ashes rather than those two.

I'm nonplussed by the 'Starc's tall, so he's bouncy' meme still going on after over a decade. He has a low delivery, and when he bowls bouncers they usually loop in a lazy fashion.

Starc taking a wicket like that after we've been slagging him off is absolutely classic, put it in a museum, Mitch Starc.

Quite suitable that it was the lack of pace and bounce that did Salman in there.
