i know its early days but Adil Rashid's bowling average is quite close to Ian Salisbury's average of 77

Rashid still bowls a lot of trash. Could be good if we persist with him and he improves his control of length, but for now, he'll get punished by good players of spin bowling.

I can see Pakistan adding another 100 runs AND I can see such a lead (300) not being enough. In other words, this pitch isn't exactly becoming a minefield. Very good test imho!

Same problem as salisbury. With salisbury you knew there was a 4 ball just around the corner. How he managed to play 15 tests for England is beyond me. He probably wouldn't have played as many with the bangers.

Would be happy to be proven wrong but Rashid seems to me to be going down that route. Although Warne thinks he has at least some goods

I always think "highest successful chases" is a stupid stat. England have never chased over 209 in Asia, but they scored 312 in a 4th innings in the same country, against the same bowling attack, with the same batting lineup, little over a week ago. Surely that's more/just as relevant?
