How about including the canberra comets or the australian cricket academy in your one day competition. When you play either you get to play in australian conditions, would be an ideal idea in the past you have included international A sides so why not an aussie development side.

And that's based on his lean trot of ODI scores rather than actually viewing the player on the field? He's still the incumbent Test opener, so of course it would be pleasing to see him score runs.

He is rubbish. He was picked on the back of his brothers international form. Bracewell thought that because they looked similar they would play similar.

He should never play again for NZ.

No he wasn't. He was picked on some solid SS form.

Lol... he got a couple of scores. Anyone who has seen him play for the black caps can see that he is out of his depth. Something that his first class average would back up.

From a NZ point of view, I'd say it would actually be bad to see him score runs. The more runs he scores at first class level, the more chance he has of being retained as test opener, which would be disasterous. He not up to it - its that simple.

When Kyle Mills was subbed for him in the Chappell-Hadlee series, I thought to myself "Thats quite hilarious. Mills is a better batsman, meaning the super-sub is the 12th best batsman in the side and he cant bowl." I think that sums it up really - hes not up to international standard, and the worse he does at FC level, the better.

Looks like this round of the State Shield saw a few new debutants like Martin Guptill & Derek De Boorder for Auckland & also another pace bowler i've been mentioning Leighton Burtt who plays for Canterbury. I've heard he's pretty quick..well he took figures of 5/26 off 7.1 overs today against Auckland.

Good to see.

Does anyboy know the full New Zealand U19 team for the world cup?
I heard today that Otago got two players in the squad in Shaun Fitzgibbon and Kieron Noema Barnett, with Leon Gutherie being a stand by player. Does anybody know where the full squad can be seen?
