they have plenty of great players, but the problem is that the players around the top stars arent up to first grade standard IMO. guys like tony jensen etc..... arent good enough, while a team like the roosters have good players like todd byrne around the top names.
Barrett needs to stay fit and keep playing well, cause we all know he hasnt traditionally played his best footy for the dragons.

I agree they are inconsistent but i feel the fact that all these young guys have so often had to do it without Barrett and the likes has stood them in good stead for when he's there... Matt Head is a quality half and takes alot of pressure off...

yeh Head is doing well, im surprised they kept him in front of Firman though, the dragons heirachy must have a short memory, firman wouldnt have been far from the dally M last season and would be playing now in front of head had he not broken his leg, the roosters should be laughing they got him....

Monaghan will stay at canberra, lets hope anyway, looks like brent kite is going to canberra, raiders want jason smith there to fill the gap between todd carney being ready for first grade. he looked good in his debut on saturday night, elliott just doesnt want to risk him week in week out seeing as though hes just turned 18, but he is something special, ive seen him run around in reggies quite a lot, hes got the goods. Smith wants a 2 year deal and canberra are only prepared to give him 1. Riddell is a certainty to go to parra, orford will stay in melbourne for 1 more year i think. Tahu is pretty much signed, sealed and delivered for manly isnt he?!?!?!
A couple of young guys likely to be on the market are Michael Robertson from canberra and frank pritchard from penrith, id be looking to snap up both if i was a recruitment officer for an NRL team.
an id like to know what manly are doing trying to get tahu and monaghan when cott donald is off contract, hes a natural try scorer and already at the club!!!!

I think Tahu is a signed deal at manly, i also think that the dragons will be back on Riddells case after his last few games... I know the Tigers are after Pritchard, afterall he is a Wests junior and has a cousin playing junior reps for wests...
Manly seem to be buying unnecessary players... I mean Kennedy IMO was a waste of money for them with all their young backrowers...

they will be lucky to get 12 games a season out of kennedy, for the money hes on thats not good enough, if by some minor miracle he stays injury free and he plays 20 a year i think they have got a good deal. hard to say if it was a right move till hes even played any games though. Its not like they need the experince in the fowards though, menzies is there for that, if watmough or harris get pushed out for kennedy it will be a disgrace.

i guess the philosophy is that, "we have money to spend, who can we buy?" Kennedy was given the option to negotiate and they just jumped in before anyone else did. perhaps manly were of the opinion they werent gonna be able to get anyone better, and lets face it, for some reason their current team isnt doing much!

haha i know that feeling, ive abaondoned the warriors and souths too, i havent given up on manly yet, if michael monaghan comes back soon they will improve, he did a good job steering them around for a while there. plus they have game breakers in scott donald, brett stewart, andrew walker and shane dunley. too often this season they have had massive comebacks.
having said that i rarely tip them as they arent as good as most other sides.

i think an under 6 side could beat the warriors, i mean you only need to put a try on them and they start trying to fight you...
they are the most disgraceful team i have ever seen, Their discipline is non existant and they seem to be a bunch of sore losers who think they are bigger and better then the game itself...
