I know what Gidley's reasoning for that is - to learn from 'the best'. But it would be a pretty silly move considering he would be assured of a starting spot. Don't know what other club he could get that at.

I think you can count Brisbane & Nth Queenslaand out, doubt he will move from N.S.W. Although it would be a good buy for Nth Queensland. If the Roosters can fit him under their cap, they should definitely be looked at! Parra just bought Riddel, so if they have room for him with Morris and Dykes (unless he goes back to Cronulla) I"ll be surprised. Canberra have signed Smith, so it looks like they will keep McLinden at half. And Manly have said they are chasing an outside back.broncoman said:

I think your being a bit harsh Kyle...
I mean this is a pretty big decision, if he goes to Union he must move away from Newcastle as he would never be able to live there without copping a heap of abuse, but if he stays with league he then gives up the chance to be recognised on the WORLD stage and to show once and for all he is better then Jonny "I kicked a Goal" Wilkinson...

Yes, but does he have to drag it through the media. Can't he just make a decision without everyone knowing about his decisions. Fair enough the media scouts see him meeting with these Warratah guys, but he could have just said "I have been having discussions with Rugby Yawnion and I will make a decision on my playing future in a few weeks." Rather than saying, "I'm going, no I'm stayin, no I'm going, no I'm staying, no...:"
