Every player off contract gets offered $500k by Souths...Craig said:Good news for Brisbane that Karmichael Hunt reckon's a 90% chance of staying. Although I don't believe him when he says he never heard anything about Souths ready to offer him $500,000 (typical of them) a season, surely his agent would have said something...
As for Brent Kite, isn't he from the Canberra area?
The carrot for Hunt at the Broncos is his contract after this one. The club cannot offer him a big contract this time, but in 2 or 3 years he will be able to get $400,000+ (probably more) and if he stays at the Broncos he will be the captain - that is for sure. The one thing Brisbane (and the Coast) have in their favour is the living conditions and reletive obscurity from fame. These are factors that have kept Lockyer at the Broncos, and I think Hunt's career will follow a very similar path.Craig said:Good news for Brisbane that Karmichael Hunt reckon's a 90% chance of staying. I think if he may be waiting out to find out if he gets the Origin spot. He may stay if he gets it and Mal says he'll stay on longer. Although he's just as likely to miss out next year if Hunt is fit. This is probably just the hopeful side of me talking.broncoman said:this morning on the radio the raiders were saying the talk of Schif leaving was a load of crap, now just a few hours later this come up...

You would think that the money canberra have available now they will be able to target a high profile player. Dont know who but they will be a long way under the salary cap.
Pretty obvious that he's going with comments like that, I hope it doesnt disrupt the rest of his season if he signs now, at least its getting it out of the way.
LOL that would be right, Schif finally gets another crack in Origin and he leaves the code.
Not sure if Widders is on $500,000, but he's Souths latest signing.Blewy said:Every player off contract gets offered $500k by Souths...

I hope he will stay and am pretty sure he will.
That would be a good signing for Canberra.broncoman said:yeh Kite is originally from Canberra but theres a lot of talk here that hes coming back...
Hannant will stay in Brisbane...Craig said:Wouldn't surprise me if Hannant get's offered a deal by the Titans if he hasn't been re-signed, since he is a local and is from PBC.
Isn't Billy Slater's suspension over? Surprised he wasn't picked by Craig Bellamy.
Craigos, can you confirm that you didn't go to Souths because they only offered you $450,000?Blewy said:Every player off contract gets offered $500k by Souths...
