Souths vs Warriors??

Looks like the coin toss will decide who i tip there..
I wouldn't be wasting too much time on that tip. Warriors will win.

Storm v Bulldogs
Knights v Sharks
Dragons v Cowboys
Panthers v Tigers
Raiders v Roosters
Rabbitohs v Warriors
Sea Eagles v Broncos

according to reports the June 30 anti tampering deadline will be dumped after this season, it will be interesting to see what they come up with as an alternative...

i still cant tip souths, ever...
Yeah i have 3 teams which i NEVER tip... Souths, Warriors and the most recent Addition Parra..

The only problem with this theory is when they play each other..

Thats when the good ol 20 center comes in handy..

I think it's a good move. Schiffers is a damn solid player and I think he'd be very good in rugby. Whatevers good for Clint is a good thing in my book.

Everything would be different if the Queensland selectors weren't such ****ing useless ****s though. They got it mostly right last game... but still... Probably more thanks to Meninga than anything else.

yeh it was in the Canberra Times yesterday that he has a clause in his contract that he can leave if Matthew Elliott did, he apparently asked his agent to find him something in England, im surprised Union has come up at this stage of his career. It's probably not the greatest move for him, but i guess he wont be playing rep footy in league anytime soon this might be his last chance to do his talents justice.
WIN news here has said the deal could be done by the end of the week, also Simon Woolford should announce tomorrow or thursday hes going to St George next season on a two year deal

apparently the talk is to scrap it altogether, so anyone can sign for anyone anytime!
pretty much the same as they have in some other sports like Formula 1, Fernando Alonso announced in October 2005 he'd be driving for McLaren in 2007!

i wonder where this will leave the raiders next season, with very few high profile players available they potentially could lose and have lost Schifcofske, Croker, Woolford, Hodgson, Chalk, Smith, Ale and a few more. Thats a large chunk of he salary cap gone and not much coming in.

Neil Henry is the coach there next season is he not?

He is the Nth Qld assistant coach, so he could attract players like Hannay, Firman and Southern who aren't getting much time at the Cowboys. I know Hannay is off contract and yet to re-sign and I'm pretty sure the way they shove Firman around that if he asked to be released from his contract he could.

Hannay's name has come up, firman is no use to the raiders tbh...
i mean they have Zillman, Carney, Dobson, Withers already...
its probably outside backs where they will struggle, throw mogg on that list of outs, of course hes gone to france.
Their backline would currently look like this
1 Bronx Goodwin
2 Adrian Purtell
3 Phil Graham
4 David Howell
5 Craig Frawley
6 Todd Carney
7 Michael Dobson

it could be a lot stronger with a few signings, i think they'll go hard for Lyon.

Can't say I've been able to follow the league this season. Someone give me the rundown on the Rooster's slide, what's happening?

this morning on the radio the raiders were saying the talk of Schif leaving was a load of crap, now just a few hours later this come up...

http://canberra.yourguide.com.au/detail.asp?class=sport&subclass=rugby%20league&story_id=488919&category=Rugby%20League&m=6&y=2006

"Schifcofske is the club's highest paid player, on about $340,000 a season."
You would think that the money canberra have available now they will be able to target a high profile player. Dont know who but they will be a long way under the salary cap.

"The star fullback told The Canberra Times last night he had not yet signed with the Reds, but admitted he was very tempted. The deal could be finalised as early as today."
Pretty obvious that he's going with comments like that, I hope it doesnt disrupt the rest of his season if he signs now, at least its getting it out of the way.

"Schifcofske has also been mentioned as a contender for the Queensland fullback position in the State of Origin decider on July 5."
LOL that would be right, Schif finally gets another crack in Origin and he leaves the code.
