Whatever his still got a long way to go before his better then Orford. He is better then Kimmorley, but who isn't, Dykes should still play at halfback when he comes back and Kimmorley should be either 5/8 or off the bench.Mister Wright said:Yeah, I reckon he's a better halfback then Kimmorley & Orford. It should be between him and Gower for the origin spot if Johns is not forced to play.
Head is a better player than Orford. Orford might be the better player week-in-week-out, but that is only becuase Head suffers so many injuries. If Head were able to get on the park every week of the 26 week season the Dragons would have less problems and be more consistent.chaminda_00 said:Whatever his still got a long way to go before his better then Orford. Head is still working on his game, overall Orford ATM is a better player. But in saying he probably will be a better player in a season or two if he stayed on the field.Mister Wright said:Head is a better player than Orford. My ****. He'd have to either have no brains or be offered more than Wigan can afford to even think about it.Blewy said:Barrett likely to announce a deal with Wigan today...
Barrett wants to go to Wigan because they are a traditional powerhouse, he says its always been a dream for him to play there, he was apparently making calls to other off contract players over the weekend trying to convince them to go to Wigan as well so they have a better side...Blewy said:Well apparently its a done deal... Id assume they'd be offering ridiculous amounts of money, cause the dragons would be offering him a fair bit..
Considering Wigan are running last and could possibly get relegated (Not sure if it will happen), its definatley an interesting decision..
Personally i hope Wigan do get relegated cause from what i hear, if they do Patty Richards could well return to the Tigers if they do..
Orford sucks, id rather have Owen Craigie playing halfback for my team than Orford...chaminda_00 said:Head is still working on his game, overall Orford ATM is a better player. But in saying he probably will be a better player in a season or two if he stayed on the field.
All good and well for him to rally players to go to Wigan next year, but if they get relegated this year they will be playing 2nd Division Football.. Im sure plenty of players will be willing to take that risk..Broncoman said:Barrett wants to go to Wigan because they are a traditional powerhouse, he says its always been a dream for him to play there, he was apparently making calls to other off contract players over the weekend trying to convince them to go to Wigan as well so they have a better side...
Well you got your wish...Blaze said:It would be good if Wigan get Barrett. They are my fav super league team, and they really need a decent playmaker.
UK-bound Barrett rules himself out of Origin
St George Illawarra captain Trent Barrett has ruled himself out of the State of Origin series after announcing he'll join English club Wigan after the NRL season.
Barrett has played seven times for NSW but says he'll step down from all representative football immediately as part of his agreement to sever his contract with the Dragons. The 28-year-old five-eighth has exercised an option in his contract to leave the NRL for a Super League club despite having two years remaining on his current deal.
The veteran of 142 games for the Dragons, Barrett will join Wigan on a three-year contract.
