Actually, what I read was that Hunt turned down the opportunity because he wanted to play Origin for Queensland. Either way, I don't have anything against him, but it's still a rejection, whatever way you look at it.broncoman said:he only turned don the chance to play for NZ because he feels he is an Australian, i respect that, unlike those kiwi guys like webb and cayless who chose NZ just for the chance to play rep football...
when hunt made the choice to mae his self eligible for Australia he knew it may have been many years if ever before he got his chance to play rep football, nothing wrong with that if u ask me....
Who said that? This whole swapping of players evens itself out after a while. No-one's getting a leg up.broncoman said:i did answer it actually
its just hypocritical for people to say crap like "for the good of international football" and things like that, if NZ trully are the best team like they are claiming they shouldnt need a leg up anymore...
What a load of crap. He considers himself a Queenslander and said last year if he could play origin and play for NZ he would...broncoman said:he only turned don the chance to play for NZ because he feels he is an Australian, i respect that, unlike those kiwi guys like webb and cayless who chose NZ just for the chance to play rep football...

cant see it happening, it think most players would value test football over club football...Craig said:Change of topic, will any key players like Lockyer be rested or given half-games since they are going to back up for their clubs after a Test match?
I wouldn't be surprised if Johns is rested or at least doesn't play the whole game if he Newcastle don't need him (ie lead by plenty)?
oh i get ya now, umm i presume some players might not play and some will get a rest during games, the ones who dont play usually only dont back up because of injury...Craig said:Isn't that has happened i nthe past though? Usually sides name extended bench's and if people like Lockyer are ok they play, but if not they have the night off?
It will make tipping hard IMO.
I think they mean for Newcastle, not Australia.oz_fan said:I doubt Johns will want to go off early considering it is his last ever test match.
Looks like Parfitt, and Kenny and his mates weren't picked.broncoman said:oh i get ya now, umm i presume some players might not play and some will get a rest during games, the ones who dont play usually only dont back up because of injury...
i presume Brisbane will name Parfitt, Seymour and Kenny on an extended bench...
weve gone with the same team as last week, except Hannant is back, its not that hard to call players into the squad anyway...Craig said:Looks like Parfitt, and Kenny and his mates weren't picked.
Still no Scott Hill, his best position if he is looking for a return might be at lock, where I have felt that has been his best position for a long time. Especially before Orford left.
Hey! Give me some credit, I've included 2 qlders in my hated team & 3 ****roaches (4 if you count the coach) in my favourite team...dontcloseyoureyes said:I wonder if you're from Queensland.
Yeah, I reckon he's a better halfback then Kimmorley & Orford. It should be between him and Gower for the origin spot if Johns is not forced to play.burkey_1988 said:Mat Head. I like.
