Gasnier and Hodges are better than King, King needs a good halfback to play well, he seems to go a bit MIA a lot, guys like Gasnier and Hodges go looking for the ball and create things for other players...
Like I said, people have different opinions. I knew someone would pop their head up and disagree as soon as I submitted the last post.

There is a difference. A career-ending injury cannot be helped. A player moving to another club or changing codes can be.
So what? Why begrudge a man making a career choice? If he wants more money, or if he thinks there are better rep opportunities in union, it's up to him to make those choices.

You and I know that league's a better sport - if he wants to leave it behind, let him. We'll continue to enjoy it without him.

How bad are the Bunnies? Seriously, some of the tries they conceded against the Warriors were as soft as a pillow. Put the boots on, Russell.

get rid of them and bring in a central coast team. the bunnies are an absolute disgrace. the cowboys came into the competition and they were pathetic but now they've turned that around. the bunniest haven't looked like doing anything of the sort.

Granted, they are going through a rough trot. However, getting rid of them would be absolutely ludicrous. I don't even think this is even a point for discussion.

of course it's not going to happen but you must take into account that they have brought absolutely NOTHING to the game since they were let back into the competition. you can argue all you want that they are going through a "rebuilding" phase but 15 years without getting close to a top 8 is nearing ridiculous.

I follow the Roosters but I don't think there is any need to kick any teams out.
How would you feel if they kicked your team out of the comp?

I used to support the North Sydney Bears so I know exactly what it feels like...I was a huge fan but I realised there was no use complaining about the past and got over it.

Although if the Bears deserved to get kicked out of the competition then Souths are lucky to be there.

With the way the comp is working these days, I wouldn't be surprised if they did well in the next few seasons.

Hmm I guess you never know. At the moment they are completely and utterly useless though. If the Knights get beaten by them this weekend it will just be testament to how much they need Andrew Johns.

The Bears were ripped off. Just because the Bears got screwed is no excuse for the same thing to happen to the Rabbitohs.

thats a brave move given just how crap they are...
I can only assume you're referring to the Rabbits, but the same can be said about the Knights.

Adding a team from the Gold Coast isn't going to do much for the game. There is an enormous market in the Central Coast and that has been shown through the A-League this year. Brisbane have the largest supporter base in Australia and people from all over Queensland support them. I really doubt a large number of Rugby League followers in Queensland are all of a sudden going to pledge their alleigance to the Gold Coast. A NEW team on the Central Coast would've been more worth it.

I can't see how it will it be any different to the way they have played in the past with Johns.

Carney, Gidley, Buderus, Simpson...all very good players...it's definitely a psychological thing. One thing they are missing without Johns is someone who can kick well in play. The Bulldogs are missing this at the moment and Manly benefited greatly from Orfords excellent play kicking game.

A Gold Coast team is needed. It's unfair for the Broncos to have the whole of south east Queensland to themselves. Plus, I'm sure there will be no issue in relation to getting fans, especially with the stars they have signed.

That said, I personally think the Central Coast Bears should be brought back in. I believe John Singleton will back them so there is no issue with money and it is a good rugby league area, shown by the teams in the Jim Beam Cup.
