Well they have won 2, but New Zealand have still dominated the series, India have not dominated these matches. Remeber the 2 wins we have just seen India pull out of the hat were won whilst chasing, as have all the matches in this series. Let's see how they bat if they are put in. But better signs.Gotchya said:lol you guyz can drag well :wow:
anyway alls well that ends well.
Anyway, what do you think of India's comeback (?)
Well he had to perform after his performance in the Tests (which before anyone says anything, I put down to him being asked to open in conditions which demand patience rather than exciting stroke play)aussie_beater said:Excellent work from Sehwag.
He has scored two 100s in this series where the rest of the Indian lineup has come up with only one 50(Yuvraj Singh's 54 in the 5th match). That's quite impressive given the fact that the whole Indian batting lineup is down in the pits for this whole series.
Just BTW, low 140's are near 145.vishnureddy said:to be bowling in low 140's and still everybody is getting beaten for his pace. They faced Harminson and Jones when they were in ENG and they were bowling near 145[/B]
Jones bowled Sehwag on his debut, beaten for pace, and Harmison picked up 5 Wickets on his debut in the next Test, and had Sachin in trouble with some fast short balls. The main reason the Indians were not beaten for pace more often was the slowness of the pitches.vishnureddy said:. how did the meters conflict (if they ever did) ?Rik said:Jones bowled Sehwag on his debut, beaten for pace, and Harmison picked up 5 Wickets on his debut in the next Test, and had Sachin in trouble with some fast short balls. Could you explain what you mean? You've confuzzled me...Gotchya said:how did the meters conflict (if they ever did) ?
I meant the speed of the pitch was being measured or the one in the air. Thats what would determine the measurement.Rik said:Could you explain what you mean? You've confuzzled me...
Well with the use of Hawkeye it can tell both. Harmison was quick through the air but the lack of pace in the pitch took a lot of speed off once the ball hit it. Harmison bowled fast but the pitch slowed the ball down. On a pitch such as the WACA, the Indians would have been in trouble against Harmison much more often.Gotchya said:I meant the speed of the pitch was being measured or the one in the air. how would you account for the difference in the guns Tim ?
Now, do I reply individually to every post from the Terrace element that criticised my prediction then, and predicted thinks such as 5-2 India, or a close series?!marc71178 said:I'm going to go for 5-2 New Zealand (or more likely 4-2)
