Great fightback by India, Zaheer Khan was awesome and Nehra fared better than in the first test match.
I don't think these kind of pitches are suitable for test matches, i mean an inning is not even lasting 40 overs, this way it is becomming even more shorter than OD cricket!

India are at par with NZ in the second test match, got a 5 run lead so they aren't behind NZ yet! Not all is lost till date!

That pitch sounds like a real snorter.
What exhaustive cricket ! its got very interesting when NZ folded for 94....but then the indian batsmen fulfilled their duty, Will be good battle now. I back NZ to win it from here, they are more accucstomed to the conditions and the Indian bowlers may lose a trick. Still its anyones game.

A pretty poor response from the Kiwi batsmen!!!!!!:duh:
They had all the benefits to make a decent lead and instead came up short of the Indian 1st innings!!!!!!!
I hope they get their application sorted in order to post another victory!!!

Oram for his 4w bag in the 2nd innings.....
Bond has been disappointing this series when he should have been taking advantage of these conditions to post good figures - instead he has been shown up by Khan, Tuffey & Oram!!!!

22 wickets have fallen on a single day!! Something like this has never occured ever since 1952.Such pitches are a nightmare for batsmen and Test cricket would become a joke if such pitches are used regularly.
The pitch is starting to ease out, i think NZ have a better chance of winning this test match!

At lunch NZ are 119 for 5!! NZ needs 41 runs while India needs 5 wkts for victory. I would say that NZ have a slight edge but what a wonderful fightback by India. Nehra was the best bowler of the lot, Khan dissapointed a bit in his initial spell but was better in his second spell!

NZ make it home for a two-nil scoreline which must be disturbing for India considering their apparent batting strength. Zaheer, Nehra and Bangar showed promise with the ball though.

Well India fought well and the bowlers performed above expectations.On batters performance, a total of 507 runs were scored in 4 innings in the test match with the loss of 36 wkts! I think thats says it all !

Not a single batsman was able 2 score a half century in the test match, the highest scorer in the match was Dravid with 39!! Tendulkar and Flemming were second highest with 32 each!!
Interestingly the first 3 Test innings didn't even last 50 overs.India batted for 38.2 overs in the 1st inning and NZ too batted for exactly 38.2 overs in their 1st innings.
In the 2nd innings India batted for 43.5 overs, NZ though batted well in their second innings lasting more than 50 overs 2 take the match away from India!
