*Official* New Zealand vs India Tests & ODIs

Wonderful fightback by India, NZ have just 40 runs lead with 3 wkts in hand.Full credit should go 2 Zaheer Khan, the best left armer in the test cricket today and Bhajji for a pinning down the Kiwi batters after they had threatened to run away with the match. India should not aim to bowl out NZ as soon as possible tomorrow and bat sensibly in the second innings.

Yeah top bowling by Harbhajan and Zaheer, Bangar too is bowling well.

But why Harbhajan Singh was not put into the attack earlier?

Thats baffling?!

While those two gooses Nehra and Agarkar were kept on and on and on!!!!

Amazing!!

There's only 2 left armers though isn't there, and PwC rates Vaas higher at the moment...

I agree with them personally - For all the talk, Khan averages 36...

I assume that's a typo (or have the bookmakers been round?)

And then there's Wasim.

And Alan Mullally. Maybe. ;)

Anyway back to topic, well done Mark Richardson, 250 is in reach for NZ tomorrow and that ought to put them in the box seat. But cricket's a funny old game...

Actually there are quite a few Sri Lankan Left Armers...then there's Sidebottom :(

I'd rate Vaas higher even though he didn't do much in England, he just didn't have any luck either.

Vaas is a very good bowler overall. I would rate him better than Zaheer. He didn't have a great tour of England but caused problems over there, especially for Atherton. Fortunately we sussed out how to play Murali so were able to fight back and win the series. :D

Yeah Vaas has 8-19 in a ODI :O ok ok...it was against Zimbabwe :D but still...

People say England are rubbish at spin but lately they have got very impressive I think, Neither Kumble or Harbajan destroyed England in the summer and despite his injury, Murali hasn't really bowled that well to England in his last 2 series...or since his 16 Wicket haul about 5 years back for that matter...

The West Indies too have improved greatly at spin since Lara's miraculous Sri Lankan tour. This was very clearly seen in the recent ODI series.

Nz win ... need 35 runs to win , good win for them , bond , tuffey , oram etc bowled really well , the indian supporters in here must feel ashamed to have a top 6 almost avging 41 58 56 etc etc against a young inexperienced new zealand attack
'
Tim remember i said before that anyone if in the nz team for bowling it should be tuffey cause he would do a lot with the new ball , i think i was right there ! He did really well with the ball

Shame on Laxman he should be banned from indian cricket for overseas touring , because that guy doesnt apply himself well and doesnt bat well overseas well AT ALL I think i said that before Masterblaster he did really well in India but thats it...

Well India really needs to think hard now 1 test left , Nz will be fired up ! make it 2-0!

its nothing new, this indian lineup crumbles overseas time and time again.
Its frustrating, very, very frustrating.

I agree, time to let Laxman go, Kaif and Yuvraj are the future. Bangar did a good job with the ball, so if he performs badly with the ball, someone like Das or Gautam Gambhir should be included.

Or this 16 year old, Rayadu!!

I don't get why ppl call the Indian batting line-up the best in the World, granted that they are one of the most talented..but do they actually always put big scores at one single time together outside of India?

It always seems to be Tendulkar or Dravid leading a rescue mission while the walls of Troy tumble around them.

Well....! amazing....thankyou NZ for shattering the myths. Two and a half days, pretty dismal display against a side that isn't worth mentioning.......

"To place the level of India's performance in perspective it should be remembered that last summer world cricket minnow Bangladesh faced more overs in each of their two Tests in New Zealand. In Hamilton they faced 104.3 and followed that with 105 in Wellington.

This was for the elite.......

As I said already, If the Indian batting is reined in you are three quarters of the way to getting them. Those two displays were dissapointing considering the names in the team. Dravid performed in the first, Tendulkar in the second to salvage some respect. Nothing from the rest. If the seniors dont perform it is very difficult for the younger players to perform.

The one positive was Zaheer's performance, he has shown that he can make good use of the conditions to produce good results.

A little more help for the pace men and you saw Indian reeling

I don't think Dravid and Tendulkar really salvaged respect for India. Come on they lost by ten wickets inside 3 days! scoring 161 and 121...

Well... that dispelled a few myths.

An inexperienced pace attack destroying the "best batting lineup in the world".

India are clearly the worst side ever!!!
Why can't they compete!!!
Surely they should go home as they can't even get through 40 overs!!!

Pots, Kettles, Glass Houses, Stones...

Still going to be so critical of England?
