*Official* New Zealand tour of UAE and England 2023

I was thinking specifically about his batting, especially this season. Seems to be going backwards afaics. Lots of cameos but not much of substance. And I'm thinking about his domestic performances as well as for England.
He's a number eight more often than not in this line-up. He won't bat often and his runs are a bonus.

Can't depend on Rachin, Santner, Jamieson and co to get this home. These guys the key

GP is SO good at putting away balls in his zone. And hardly ever hits it to fielders. Such a clear head

Yeah, I was thinking about a bigger picture than just these games. And especially not just today when he came in with 3 overs to go. As I said to GIMH, admittedly that wasn't obvious from my original post. He's a genuinely talented batter, but his returns seem to have been diminishing for some while now.

It would take quite something for England to win this now.

Given that none of the quicks have threatened on this surface, I'd have given Livingstone a throw of the dice before the game's done and dusted.

Been quite flat out there hasn’t it
Nicely done sir. But probably a bit too late.
Good performance by Rehan though.

EDIT
Fair to say that Moeen's had better games in his time. Ditto Rashid, who's been comfortably out-bowled by Sodhi.
