Whatever it takes!!!
I can recall 4 relatively straightforward chances missed in the first two tests. Not the worst in the world but still sub-par for the standards the team set c 2015 - 2021.
I think almost all of them were in the 2nd innings in Bangalore too, so great timing as well. :)

Kohli is batting well against Australia in the test match highlights that Fox are showing here in the lunch break.

That was a long time ago though, Bill Lawry and Tony Greig were still commentating and Nathan Lyon had hair.

It is. You have been far better than us catchingwise and I think its been the difference inspite of our 4 batting lollapses.
Na, the fielding has been a difference but it's nowhere near as simple as that. Our batting has been far more accomplished and the bowling much more disciplined - we've been able to apply pressure far more consistently for longer periods in both disciplines. The fielding has helped, but it's not the difference.

Nah my opinion is different coz had you been 180/7 or 8 instead of the 180/3 at the end of day 2 in Bengaluru, the series takes a very different turn as far as I am concerned. Your batting and bowling have definitely been far better than ours but I think those were enabled by our bad fielding on day 1.

Throw's gone to the wrong end and I'm pretty sure I heard a "keeper" call. How do NZ keep getting this wrong? I think that's the third time this series.

That was a very good catch by Mitchell. Rohit has missed a couple of these types in this series, I think. Again, shows the importance of the catching.

But that's just assuming that if you had taken, say, the catch through slips off Latham when we were on 40ish (from memory), that we would then have collapsed. It's total conjecture, putting too much emphasis on the one or two events, rather than all stuff that happened over the course of that innings - how do you know that Rachin wouldn't have made 200 instead, or Mitchell wouldn't have found form earlier?

Haha, it's exactly the sort of thing we've been doing for the last 18 months plus. Real lack of game awareness.

Much, much better bowling this side of lunch. Far more accurate, repeatedly testing the forward defence - and then the variable spin and bounce comes into play

As expected, Sarfraz is useless against both pace and spin. A true FTB. I see him getting dropped for the next test and Rahul coming back into the XI.

Nah we missed a total of 5 chances that day. I am just counting each being taken.
