Look, if we end up, somehow, winning the BGT, the CT and the WTC then honestly, this will just be seen as a blip. And while there are major changes required with the batting approach and output especially, I still dont think this side will be lacking in quality as much and if a few breaks go our way, we could still surprise many with the results we may achieve with this side.
BUT...
The key to any of that happening is some honest introspection of the side, the players and their methods. How much are you willing to commit to test cricket? How much are you willing to commit to come up with and practice your plan B, C and D than just A? How willing are you to let the other side dominate but still manage to survive, with bat and ball, in order to ensure you still stay in the game and then pounce when they finally let go a bit? These were aspects that made us play better than we ever looked on paper in the Shaz-Virat era and that is what is needed now.
