yea but a person like Ghambir could have used the opportunity better and i reckon it gives the team more depth..

Also i reckon yuvrajs bowling isint really a great asset when people like Tendulkar . Sehwag can bowl part timers aswell

A few hours left for the 2nd test to begin. It will be Dravid's first test as captain. He has a fantastic ODI record as captain.

What do you reckon the captain winning the toss should do?

So far as 5 bowlers not being likely to do the job if 4 can't, even the Aussies have recently gone into Tests with a 3 seam 2 spin attack if the pitch has been flat - a lesson they learned from their lost tour of India perhaps, and even more significant when you consider the quality of their bowling attack!

:)
They didn't do that in many test matches, and DON"T forget, Australian WK happens to be a class batsman, so they atleast had 6 specialist batsman, Indian test keeper on the other hand isn't much of a batsman.Getting into the match with a additional pacer in place of a specialist batsman would be suicidal for India!

He has captained in 4 matches....of which he won three, too early to judge him as a captain, he has had a good start, for sure....

that away to midwicket for four and gets to three figures, his
second Test century, and he looks very glad to have gotten there!!

No, I still think Agarkar shld be India's 3rd choice of seamer. The first 2 being Zaheer and nehra respectively.
Nehra had a successful World Cup but other than that he's done nothing of note. I think he would need to do a bit more to be India's 2nd seamer. Anyway what's happened to Srinath?

New Zealand look like batting India out of a win atleast......even drawing this so-called revenge series will be akin to winning it, for them.
