Ouch for NZ again...
Not an expert on NZ sport but I don't think anything would have to replace it as such; I think it's probably a case of less people bothering about sport in the summer and just doing off-season rugby training and following overseas rugby competitions. The NZ commentator said cricket is the #1 summer sport in NZ but it has taken a hit in recent years...what's replacing it?
Rugby is certainly encroaching more and more into the cricket season. Super Rugby starts in February these days, I think and in recent times most Test cricket played here has been scheduled for March. Not an expert on NZ sport but I don't think anything would have to replace it as such; I think it's probably a case of less people bothering about sport in the summer and just doing off-season rugby training and following overseas rugby competitions.
Actually, rowing is probably starting to give cricket a run for nz's summer sport. Not an expert on NZ sport but I don't think anything would have to replace it as such; I think it's probably a case of less people bothering about sport in the summer and just doing off-season rugby training and following overseas rugby competitions.
He didn't play like a ****** yesterday either. Taylor tried to choke him by setting an attacking field. He came down the track and dabbed the ball to mid on like he was warming up for a big hit and smashed the spinner the very next ball for six with minimal risk. Taylor immediately pushed the field back the next ball and he began running a lot of 1s from then without being reckless. Thought he was really smart with his batting last evening.I like the start by India - especially Dhoni. Not coming out and playing stupid shots like yesterday. A couple singles per over is enough for now - save the wickets for a little later.
Maybe some glue on their hands would help.....Batting is looking a doddle out there - our bowlers aren't bowling particularly badly (are still attacking though and so giving some scoring chances), but there's nothing in the wicket or air they can extract
He is decent enough in the subcontinent but very poor outside the SCReckon Dhoni's a bit underrated in tests tbh.
Yeah his batting technique is horrible but despite that he's probably performed better with the bat than any other Indian wicketkeeper.
A test average of 37+ as a keeper after 68 tests is pretty decent.
I agree!Reckon Dhoni's a bit underrated in tests tbh.
